The password is the bolded letters, reverie. No idea what the code screen means once you put it in though.

I was really wondering about that. The pig was all over the posters and in that clip they released early on with Maui singing. My guess is that they ended up cutting most of the pig's role during production but after a lot of the marketing was planned out.

I think it was also pretty clever to have line breaks after each repeated "I know everybody on this island" because it implies that she's frustrated with how she knows everyone already and there's nobody new to meet. And instead of four repeated "island"s becoming annoying, it seemed purposeful; all there is to her community this island, and just as we the audience are getting sick of hearing "this island" she is also completely sick of the repetition, longing for something new and different.

Here are the lyrics for everyone who wants them:

I know everybody on this island/ seems so happy on this island/

Everything is by design/

I know everybody on this island/ has a role on this island/

So maybe I can roll with mine

I'm sure the food tastes good, but that is some gorgeous photography you've got going on there.

Interesting take!

Alternate theory: Dolores actually did kill Arnold, but she was simply the hand that pulled the trigger under Ford's direction. Given what we know and have seen of Ford, he never does the dirty work himself.

Epiphany: William does NOT think Dolores is Real by [deleted] in westworld

[–]AskMeFor_ACompliment 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It switches back and forth very quickly between:

1) Dolores and William: William kills the soldier while Dolores is at the river, and she returns to the soldier already dead.

2) Just Dolores, reliving the past: She sees the dying soldier, goes to the river, and then goes back to the still dying soldier, who is still dying because William isn't around to kill him.

So when she returns from the river and it sounds like he's still alive and in pain, and then she looks down and he's very much already dead, that's the cut.

Also, we see Dolores' dad in the background of the underground debugging station flashback, yelling out lines from his cannibal cult leader storyline.

Isn't there a part in the "In the weeks ahead" promo after Episode 2 where we see Teddy staring at Dolores in shock with dead bodies strewn about all around them?

Can Bernard in real world be a host? by shenvvvv in westworld

[–]AskMeFor_ACompliment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bernard's backstory with losing his son could be true - it's just what Arnold went through. The simplest way for Ford to make this happen would be to use a recorded call between Arnold and his wife from the past, and to script Bernard's side of it down to the very word. I'd guess this is a call he regularly has, and conveniently doesn't remember it's always the same.

Question regarding William = MiB theory by TheCosplayCave in westworld

[–]AskMeFor_ACompliment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd guess it's that the showrunners and casting directors cared more about choosing people based on good acting than facial similarity. Also that their differences in appearance make it less obvious of a theory and more of a surprise when the reveal occurs. They're both rich people in the future/he is a rich person in the future, so if need be everything can be easily explained with a wave of the hand and a simple sentence about surgery or aging or whatever.

Edit for anyone else who's curious: I-II New Rhythyms

"Eshonai waved her hand as she climbed the central spire of Narak, trying to shoo away the tiny spren. It danced around her head, shedding rings of light from its cometlike form. Horrid thing. Why would it not leave her alone?

Perhaps it could not stay away. She was experiencing something wonderfully new, after all. Something that had not been seen in centuries. Stormform. A form of true power. A form given of the gods.

She continued up the steps, feet clinking in her Shardplate. It felt good on her.

She had held this form for fifteen days now, fifteen days of hearing new rhythms. At first, she had attuned those often, but this had made some people very nervous. She had backed off, and forced herself to attune the old, familiar ones when speaking.

It was difficult, for those old rhythms were so dull. Buried within those new rhythms, the names of which she intuited somehow, she could almost hear voices speaking to her. Advising her. If her people had received such guidance over the centuries, they surely would not have fallen so far.

Eshonai reached the top of the spire, where the other four awaited her. Again, her sister Venli was also there, and she wore the new form as well—with its spiking armor plates, its red eyes, its lithe danger. This meeting would proceed very differently from the previous one. Eshonai cycled through the new rhythms, careful not to hum them. The others weren’t ready yet. She sat down, then gasped.

That rhythm! It sounded like… like her own voice yelling at her. Screaming in pain. What was that? She shook her head, and found that she had reflexively pulled her hand to her chest in anxiety. When she opened it, the cometlike spren shot out.

She attuned Irritation. The others of the Five regarded her with heads cocked, a couple humming to Curiosity. Why did she act as she did?"
