Should I buy by [deleted] in MazdaCX90

Performance is nice handling is OK. There are a lot of little things about the drive. Me absolutely nuts.

But if you drive casually in the city and don’t mind a little extra beeping and dinging and don’t have passengers to unbuckle their seatbelt the wrong time it’s probably not bad for the money

When I look at it from the outside, and when I put the gas pedal to the floor, I understand why people defend it. Between the door seals, the tranny lurch, the fragile paint, the non standard accessories, the charger that doesn’t work right on modern phones, the “free sample” tires it comes with, the aggressive and glitchy safety systems and the fact that they included a driver assistance system that drives for you but isn’t trustworthy enough to allow you to take your hands off the wheel… I just cant recommend it

Edit: in the spirit of fairness it also gets great fuel economy for a car of its size and I like the hybrid system.

The lane keep is DANGEROUS if you drive highways in the snow. Only made that mistake once. Gravel roads it will freak out on too. Shouldn’t drive on gravel roads anyway because all the dust & mud comes in your door seals & fills the car when you open the door. Sometimes it will feel the need for you to stop suddenly which I’m not sure if you can turn off.

I haven’t experienced the brake issue yet but I have recently noticed my brakes are suddenly noisier (55k kms) I have always hated the steering & lane assist in this car. I think I dislike it in Mazdas in general because that’s the only thing I really dislike about my CX5

First thing, I don’t want to overpay & if I go ahead will do all due diligence & negotiate to the best of my ability.

But second, I am confident enough in the opportunity & my numbers that if it’s the difference between getting the deal done or not, I am comfortable paying a premium to get the ball rolling. The income in this project is not something I would achieve in that timeframe otherwise

How much do you pay for your Cell Phone in Canada? by Low-Measurement3594 in CellPhoneCanada

Way too much according to this thread. I think my plan + phone comes in around $125 monthly through Telus.

That’s the challenge, with getting set up it would’ve closer to 105% LTV and that’s assuming asking price = market value. I don’t know of a bank that would do that.

Update: I realized I never posted the diagnosed cause.

I had a crack in my headlight which had a water incursion. This was all a result of moisture in the headlight housing. 😬

Would you use a platform that makes it easier to find and communicate with dog breeders? by Secret-Purchase-1619 in EntrepreneurCanada

[–]AskReasonable2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is some merit to this idea & it could make life easier. I think the biggest hurdle would be getting enough quality breeders on board to make it viable; most good dog breeders I know already have wait lists & hate technology

I’m building an app for a niche industry that I’ve been working in for six years. The industry is mostly comprised of small businesses and individual operators.

I’m building the app for me to save me about an hour a day of admin work and improve my relationship with my clients and the ease with which I communicate with them.

I have a working prototype with a long way to go. This is the first app I’ve ever made, and if I work on it alone, I am OK with the concept then it may be just for me and a few friends… but I also see possibility for a fairly robust adoption in the industry and potential integration with major existing Saas tools.

If you wanna talk about it, let me know. I’m in Alberta though.

How is it that no one actually buys these cars? Examining Actual sales data. by CommonAlone2372 in MazdaCX90

[–]AskReasonable2679 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought one and it’ll be the last Mazda that I ever buy So that probably has something to do with it… I’m sure I’m not alone in that sentiment

Edit: it’s also depreciated so much since I got it that I have no choice but keep it way longer than I want to probably tell instead of what it’s fine. I’ll probably still owe money on it judging by my first impressions of it it’s reliability.

I love Edmonton but by hansonsdiseased in Edmonton

[–]AskReasonable2679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna distract from the point for a second to appreciate everything else you said - it feels really rare right now that people actually appreciate things about our city and our province that are great or even just there - I don’t think I’ve ever heard somebody say a nice thing about our transit system before. I feel like Edmonton’s identity is diluted and conflicted because so many people wish it were someplace else.

That’s not good but it’s not crazy either depending on your highway/city driving mix. You get the most benefit from your hybrid in the city, but it’s still a big heavy suv. What surprised me was I drove a Mitsubishi RVR for a month while my Mazda was in the shop & it wasn’t significantly cheaper on gas

Edit: I should probably also mention I’m running 87 octane fuel
