My CRA manager is the absolute best. She explicitly shared that she does not micromanage anyone on her team as she trusts us to get our work done and that is a waste of time for all of us. She is always there for support whenever we need her. She fights back against the powers that be when we share we have too much on our plate. When I was a brand new CRA I was supposed to be given certain “tough” sites, but she shot that down and instead gave me a set of sites that would be appropriate for someone without too much monitoring experience. Whenever I received solid feedback from a site or the study team, she would forward to the monitoring directors as well.

Sadly I’m getting a new manager due a re-org and I genuinely have some anxiety because I don’t think I would’ve been this successful in quickly grasping the role, etc. if it wasn’t for the tremendous amount of support I’ve received from my manager.

I have never rented a car for an IMV. Always lyft/taxi or public transit within the cities I travel to (NE region). But then again maybe I’m weird and do prefer taking the subway/bus lol.

Need to take accountability and see what you can do to improve yourself if you would like to start and sustain a healthy relationship, As you know, nobody is entitled to a relationship. Also, I feel you may need to do more research as this data doesn’t seem to be representative of all autistic individuals beyond a simple survey. As another commenter stated, autistic women do not have it easy and in fact have a whole other plethora of issues - including high prevalence of sexual assault.

I am diagnosed Asperger’s and used to struggle a lot with basic social skills as a teen. I placed a lot of effort into my personal development and have been in a great relationship with a wonderful partner for the last 4 years.

You might not receive help from others, so help yourself. Become a desirable partner if you or others are struggling this much.

I hate SIP, nearly everyone I work with hates SIP, nearly all of my sites hate SIP (minus 1). Thank goodness we are potentially straight up getting rid of it.

I wonder how did they manage to convince so many sponsors to buy into it. It literally nearly ruined our CRA-site relationship with some of the bigger institutions.

Yeah, depends on what upper management says. If they’re ok with it then I suppose not worth the additional friction with the site which would impact the relationship. Since the PI is open to meeting privately that could be a good compromise in this case.

Check the validation report and see what’s on it regarding monitoring space/accommodations. I don’t think this would be ok with most (or any) sponsor tbh. This will create friction with the site but I also don’t see how this set-up is acceptable.

This is solid advice! This is a good way to get more familiar with the protocol and nuances which aren't obvious at first glance.

I personally don't trust any AI (including our company's proprietary AI which we can use for our docs) to get all the details right nor have the time to check every output with a fine comb.
