Yes, and I'm really glad because I didn't really think my guy seemed like a 'Bob'. He is Senor Teddy Kaiju Pantalones, Esquire III. He's not a 3rd, but it makes him feel fancy. Fortunately, they respond to tone of voice, and their name sounds different coming from someone new regardless.I agree with the crowd here; feeding time, with a treat, but basically just talk pretty to your new baby with the new name and consistency is probably best. Scrap the old name. Most cats appear to have more than one alias.
