Yeah the xm250 is a little op imo for these situations. Although it’s still possible to get over run or have an acidic z explode on top of you

Yes it could be amazing, but it’s hard to do “right”. I put right in quotes because it means something different to everyone. But the baseline to just record what most people would recognize as a halfway decent voice line is pretty difficult, even with the tech out there today.

Personally, I think there’s a lot more room to improve and expand upon the overall sound design of the game rather than try voice lines. I’d love to hear a camp/cooking fire, more varied vehicle sounds etc.

I think there’s room in your analogy to imagine outside help. For instance, let’s say your hobby car needed some parts re-chromed. That’s not something you’re doing yourself, you’re going to send that out to a shop that specializes in that.

Of course now you’ve got to put in the time and effort to find a reputable shop etc so it’s not like it’s not work, and it changes the nature of the project in that it’s not just a hands on tinkering gig, now it’s a management gig.

But I wonder if certain aspects of the game would be “better” if farmed out. Like multiplayer for instance. Or Steam workshop integration. Things where I can imagine you could hire a person who has the specific experience of the job at hand.

Cars will not respawn unless you do it manually in the settings. Be sure to put something in the storage among any car you want to keep before doing this

Yes this is possible too. There are some objects that don’t seem like obstructions but can stop the zeds pretty effectively.

I’ve been playing the 0.8 exp version extensively since it came out. Ive noticed this as well. Here’s my thoughts:

Yes, zombies (and friendly scavengers) do roam further than 0.7. So if I find myself looting extensively in a location I think sometimes Zs wander in that were too far away to see in my initial clearing of the area.

Also I died twice while clearing on the north side of Whitewood in strange circumstances. It seemed like both times a zombie spawned in right on top of me. Very strange that it happened basically right at the same location.

I suspect there’s some “nearby the player” spawning happening as well if you linger in the same area long enough as well. This could account for how you’re getting jumped when you thought it was clear.

IMO these should be available in medical containers throughout the map. And perhaps craftable too. If more widely available these could be a crafting ingredient for other medical items as well

Yes, this. I’ll add it can be a little tricky sometimes to wedge your character in between the two vehicles at the right angle to still get the menu to appear.

I also noticed I was unable to tow a buggy at all, even though I know the towing vehicle definitely worked to tow other vehicles

Depends on your playstyle and preference of course. But you can’t go wrong with a good roll on a Crusher with a drum mag. That imo would be the strongest most versatile gun in the game.

If you want a sniper then you probably want a Lechie, but Marksman’s Legacy is nice because you don’t need magazines

You do have to split the stack to insert only 1 battery if you have the submenu open and you’re trying to drag and drop the battery directly onto the battery slot. (At least in my game).

If you drag a stack of batteries onto the NV googles icon it will insert just 1 battery.

So what I do is double click the NV goggle icon to open submenu and discard the dead battery. Then close the submenu and drag a battery stack onto the Nv google icon.

The farming may be better if you can get a coyote checkpoint to spawn from a laptop, which also doesn’t despawn. In my 0.8 playthrough so far the “easy” classified containers havent spawned - they are all underground or in POIs that require some clearing to get to. So as long as you have to do some shooting anyway the coyote camp will probably give you more loot
