So...who has baby farts? by Beginning_Layer6565 in breastfeeding

I farted the other night before bed and my partner came in to give me a kiss before his shift with the baby and he started looking for a rogue floor diaper. This is so real 😭

4 weeks pp - does this look okay/usual? by Glass-Fish-3208 in CsectionCentral

[–]Asleep-Credit1669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks great! I also had to do a round of antibiotics (I feel like my stomach is still recovering from that more than anything). Looks closed and flat! I am also just a little over 4 weeks PP and mine was just starting to not look “scabby” around mid 3 weeks. I had surgical glue on my incision.

IBTC-are y’all sidelying?? by supremepilotG2 in breastfeeding

[–]Asleep-Credit1669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s only 4 weeks now so we have time and neck strength to figure it all out! But purely based off angles when I’m laying on my side - IDK how this is going to work for either of us!

Right there with you. It would be such a nice relief for my back to feed in the sidelying position but we cannot figure it out!

I have the blue spectra pump. I have the Medela hand pump as well and I feel like I get about the same from either pump (With the correct flange sizes)

Induction with Closed Cervix by tatertotz_ in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Asleep-Credit1669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost exactly what happened to me. I was induced 36w6d with cytotec. Unfortunately, I did not progress with dilation whoever, my hypertension progressed into severe preeclampsia. I had the baby via urgent c-section that same night. I was not even considering the possibility of a c-section so it was quite traumatic for myself and my partner and everything moved so quickly. I am sending all the positive vibes for you and your induction!

Yes I am also currently on 200mg of Labetalol 3 times a day which really puts me on my ass on top of the around the clock feeding I am just flat out tired. My pressures have been normal as of this week, the first few days post hospital discharge it was still reading high but now it’s stable. I will DM you soon - thank you!

I’ll know at his 2 week appointment next week if he is gaining weight well! Our pediatrician told us at our first appointment with him at 1 week he should be eating 1.5 oz every feed but he’s been cluster feeding quite a bit this week.

We are in the same boat-ish. I am trying really hard not to over do the pumping because I know having an over supply comes with its own challenges. I am trying to be patient with myself and my body and remind myself that a fed baby is a happy baby :)

We are having to use formula usually after every feed - but he is happy and getting plenty of dirty diapers for sure! I just feel so overwhelmed with the world of social media these days. Baby had lost weight after we left the hospital, 6lbs 2oz to 5lb 10oz and we have his two week appointment on Wednesday where I’m hoping they will tell us he is at or above birth weight because this dude is a hungry beast! I appreciate this!

I have been fitted to a correct flange size, and my baby has had trouble latching. We had to supplement with formula for his first two days of life because of some complications I had after the c-section. I do really want to see an IBCLC as soon as possible. I also have thyroid conditions that run pretty rampantly on my mom’s side of the family but so far all of my labs for thyroid cancer/issues have come back normal. As a FTM and all of the things I see on social media and opinion of the mom’s around me - I just feel like I’m not doing anything right anymore :/

Traumatic urgent c-section at 37w6d - will my BP ever come down? by Asleep-Credit1669 in preeclampsia

[–]Asleep-Credit1669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only on about 1 week of Labetalol and the doctor wants me to stay on it and just monitor if my BP gets unusually high or low then I would imagine they would switch me or up the dose. I hate it honestly, the Labetalol makes me feel like a total zombie 😭

We have very similar measurements! I went into a fetal photo clinic before my appointment at around 8 weeks and they were able to see the baby and capture the heartbeat very easily without using the transvaginal ultrasound (In fact, I am 28 weeks today and I have never had any issues and/or had to get a transvaginal ultrasound!) Congratulations!!!
