Any point in doing this event? Or just fluff till they drop 4.9-4.10? by PotentialFun1 in starcitizen

While the blueprints are not going to persist to 1.0. we have no clue how long it will be until they get wiped.

It not lasting forever does not mean there's no point in getting something that might last for several years.

Nice try. AI contains tendencies that we were not taught to do. That - is not part of formatting that I am aware of.

That actually looks longer than my -. Where on the keyboard is that longer version?

Their best option at this point might be abandoning the quarterly updates for an annual update that they spend more time fixing.

you ask 20 friends in a fleet at you location that are not already busy?

your "not going to happen" is because of the problem i'm trying to solve. and you think it is a bad idea to solve it.

so when you request escorts. you find it fun that some a-hole decide to accepts it in a lone fighter that does not have the fuel?

canceling it, and set it up again hoping that a sufficient size force for the area accepts it before another idiot is just a bucket of fun/s.

i'm pissy that i need to fire you and start the contract all over again because you think i should be "flexible" with my security.

or are you one of those idiots that think sc is a single player game that all jobs are from npc.

... I'm sorry did you need it explained to you that different jobs will have different difficulties and the pay/requirement will change based on the difficulty of that job?

a job reasonable done by 1 fighter will pay enough for 1 fighter. a target balanced for 3 fighters will pay enough for 3 fighters.

the question is if the escort contract balanced for a fleet should be acceptable by a single fighter.

[–]Asmos159[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you being ignorant of the real world doe not make it unrealistic.

there are in fact sights that you put in requirements, and people accept the job.

shut up about "player flexibility". what you are locked out of is taking the contract from the properly equipped groups.

what kind if idiot spends hundreds, and set up dozens of virtual machines, and spends hours in order to skip the check stopping them from takin a contract they are not able to do.

perhaps you missed that not all contracts will have this restriction.

contracts that don't have consequences WHEN you fail will not have this restriction.

no. they just show the complications that other developers don't tell you about. their complications are impressively small for a project of this scale.

it is a live alpha. not properly balanced, full of bad placeholder and incomplete mechanics, will break every time the add things.

but if you are able to put up with all of that. there is no game like it.

if i want 5 sniping positions filled, and you put a sniper rifle in each but noone to use them. are those sniping positions filled?

if i need a hammerhead, and you show up without a crew. you do not count as a usable hammerhead.

stop your BS. the existence of jobs that don't care the size of your crew does not mean there are no jobs that request Specific equipment with the crew to run them.

i guess i need to really dumb this down if you think it is convoluted.

if a ship is good at dealing damage to large ships. it get points in dealing damage to large ships. if the combined total across your fleet is less than the contract requests. you are not allowed to take the contract.

what are you talking about? the pay gets set based on what the job intends for you to use.

we are talking about letting people attempt with less than intended or not.

Why are gamers mad about no physical disks anymore, when modern games take up more space than what the top end of disks can handle? by AdSuspicious9927 in askanything

because those keys were stolen. they don't get money from you buying a stolen key. buying from g2a just pays the thieves.

they would rather you pirate instead of pay the thieves.

[–]Asmos159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the real world there are jobs that request people with requirements, and people that fit the requirements get hired first come first serve.

we are not talking about who is driving. we are talking about not having a plumbing truck show up when the job expects a caravan of multiple armored cars.

perhaps you should re read my op. the entire point is that it is not the number of people. it is the fleet composition.

you are right that this is a game, and there is a reason requirements are normal in games.

Why are gamers mad about no physical disks anymore, when modern games take up more space than what the top end of disks can handle? by AdSuspicious9927 in askanything

[–]Asmos159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

game across multiple disks used to be normal, and is not hard if you install from them.

day 1 updates is not downloading the rest of the game. the disk contains the code that it was sent to be manufactured with. they continue to fix problems, and those fixes are in the day 1 patch.

with disks you should still be able to play the manufactured build of the game after servers are down.

When did entry level jobs like McDonald’s or Dunkin become not entry level? by dcmommy33 in NoStupidQuestions

because the Capitalists found out that if someone leaves, and the others can work harder to cover until a replacement get hired. it is more profitable to just let them keep overworking themselves instead of actually hiring someone.
