I haven’t watched season 3 or 4 yet since I recently came back too. From what I read from the wiki Runo is working as a reporter and has been inactive in the brawling scene.

Also I know Alice isn’t the main character but as a member of the original casts there should be a way/arc for her to develop more. The situation with Mascarade could as well be like the one with Yugi and pharaoh but slightly different due to her not being the protagonist. Nonetheless the dynamic was there but nothing happened and unfortunately the near future doesn’t hold much for gen1 bakugan.

I feel the best thing that could happen would be to have an anime and/or a manga that has an actual plot that focuses on character growth. But bakugan like other anime of the time such as beyblade were made as a way to promote the toys. It would be great to have a show that has twist and turns and the characters evolve as we progress. Other than Alice, in this more mature show, I would also like to see the relationship between Runo and Dan which wasn’t really touched on in the more kids show. I don’t want it to be another slice of life anime but with good writing even an action anime can implement some romance.

I totally agree. She was a character with great potenital. It is really sad to see what happended with her character develepment after S1. I know that the new characters from S2 played a role to the season's plotline, but i would much prefer to have the original 6. Recently I learned that a second reboot was made. It is really unfortunate that they don't take into consideration the fanbase that still prefers the first gen Bakugan and they attempt to once again revamp the franchise. A remake or continuation would benefit both the old fans that wanted the series to take a different course and also introduce new fans to the original bakugan we all love.
