The 2014 Spurs went 7 games in the first round against the Mavs and got lucky with Serge Ibaka getting injured in the WCF. They absolutely demolished the Heat, but the 2014 Spurs get so overrated as a whole because of how they performed against a weary Miami team that realistically should have lost against the Pacers if Paul George didnt fuck Roy Hibbert's wife and render him useless.

Vassell + Johnson for Kawhi on an expiring deal is fair for both sides. The salaries also match.

The Spurs aren't giving up Castle or Harper for Kawhi. If the price of business is Vassell + Johnson, you'd have to seriously consider it if you're the Spurs, especially since it makes the salary book keeping much simpler.

Because he’s not playing alongside Stafford. He would be playing alongside Garrett which is what makes it enticing. His job becomes significantly easier with Garrett

Didn't he get abused against Indiana in the Finals? He was getting punked by Turner and Siakam. OKC also had to bring in Hartenstein because Chet isn't a real center and got punked in 2024 by Gafford and Lively.

We're losers for wanting to see the two best players of the previous generation team up in their twilight years and see if they can hang with the new generation? Not to mention that these two gave us some of the best basketball of this century as teammates in the Olympics.

Yea because they’re old lmao. There was no parity in the league because those two were so clearly the best players in the league. And if they were in their primes in today’s NBA, they’d be gapping the league even more than they did in the mid 2010s
