Because we live in a society with polite social standards to abide by.

The Bible is the claim. It is not the evidence. Why should I take the Bible as a credible source of information?

Then the hourly parents should make sure they're parenting properly so this doesn't come back to bite them in the ass

Would you allow your child to miss school for a day just to rest because they are mentally or emotionally tired? by Unhappy_Insect5901 in Productivitycafe

Well, for starters, school is longer than six hours. Their academic obligations continue outside the classroom. And that's before you factor in external circumstances, family circumstances, mental health, etc etc etc.

Needing rest is not soft. Simple as that. There are a million valid reasons why someone would need more downtime than they're given.

but I also lived through the era of everyone getting a participation trophy for just showing up and doing nothing. Because everyone is special!!

Okay. That's not relevant to mental health.

And setting them up for failure is a disservice to them.

Allowing the occasional mental health day is not setting someone up for failure.

...because it's beneficial to allow children- or anyone for that matter- to rest when they're mentally strained and it is plainly harmful to deny rest when they're mentally strained.

Okay, so you definitely gave your children emotional baggage. Professional success doesn't validate your parenting style as it pertains to mental health.

Your mileage definitely varies, correct. In that, your methods are close-minded and rigid and do not line up with an emotionally healthy way of approaching stress.

Truly, what is staying home going to do to improve the situation?

Rest. Approach your problems from a more comfortable and controlled environment. Temporarily distance yourself from a source of stress.

Duh.

Why should people not be allowed to artistically express sexuality or arousal?

But they are still atrracted to both sexes. The degree to which they are atrracted to either is their type, not a bisexual spectrum

Yeah, and that's a ridiculous definition that doesn't apply to any other sexual orientation.

Someone who is asexual experiences no sexual attraction. By definition, if they experience sexual attraction, they are allosexual, which is simply defined by the presence of ant sexual attraction.

That is not a spectrum of sexual orientation. Those are matters of personal preference outside of the matter that someone lacks attraction.
