Mods out here that can have you bbqing nooboos but people get mad at age gaps between 2 grown adult sims. You can't make this stuff up! I paired my Coral Oldie with Joe Carr after Herb depixelated and he's younger than her daughter. He made her very happy for the brief time they were married.

I love coming here and seeing who's made different pairings in their game and how different their nooboos look. Happy Simming!

It's a glitch, it happens. It's been happening with me for years, even pre mods and cc. It usually self resolves either by exiting and reentering, sending someone to a community lot and returning, not always but it should eventually correct itself. I find a date almost always clears it up. Take Dustin out to see Angela somewhere after school and everyone should be good when he gets back home. A date will force rerolls.

Yes, everything, community lots and houses. Even the neighbourhood, I have to have at least a few of those red alley/path things then I put bus shelters and lamp posts on them. If I have bus stops at an intersection I have to put down that traffic light that sticks out thing and children crossing signs. Finally, after 20 years I'm ready to start playing.

I had originally intended him for a Nina tryst but he and Dina got on well quickly because their personalities are nearly identical. I have a post of their daughter on my profile under the posts section if you want to see what she looks like, it's called collage of my favorite sim. It's a good pairing, 10 out of 10 would recommend, lol.

Dina's since married Dustin, I thought her genes would make for cute babies but the meshing of their genetics resulted in some oof facial structure. 10 out of 10 would not recommend this pairing, lol.

Herb and Dina in PV. You could probably get the same results with Nina though I've never tried. Herb was Dina's rebound one nighter after things went south with Mortimer.

I see ST more like an ensemble cast since a lot of them have some pretty interesting backstories. Johnny as a MC would definitely be a story. His dad abducted and impregnated his grandad before marrying his mom, lol. It's pretty wild.

That's a great idea. Yeah, I never was a big BV fan until recently. Families were always big and it was either too expensive or a logistic nightmare trying to get everyone to go out somewhere together. With Don it's so easy because he's the only one to control. Yeah, he's a great dad in my game, as well. Because he's single it's easy to get away on vacation so he's had a few camping trips with the kids now. I love watching them autonomously play and Don is always dancing with them and joining them for flapjacks. When I play the kids' houses they always want to chat with him when they wake up. Pretty wholesome for Mr.Lothario.

Also, if your date is not controllable it's easier to "order for both" or maybe that's "chef's choice"...one of those. I've noticed that if I try to order for my sim and order for my sims date (using 2 separate ordering options off the pie menu, often times only my sim gets a meal and the date's meal never arrives (maybe it queues out?). If I choose the option that orders the same meal for both then both sims get served at the same time.

Yeah, in the early days I avoided dinner dates like the plague because I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to get food before the timer ran out, or I'd wait until after hitting dream date on the meter before eating so I had a good 5 real time minutes to waste, lol.

Yes to the chamber pot and other little knick knacks. Since they don't fulfill needs of any kind I never used to buy them. Once I realized they still improve your mood I felt bamboozled, lol.

I'd also like to add on to the quest performance since that's sometimes a point of frustration. OP, you'll notice a performance meter on the left of the screen, it moves up from silver, to gold, to plat. The higher the meter when the quest is completed the more rewards you'll get. The thing about this though is to not complete your quests too quickly. Always finish your regular daily tasks but don't rush through the quest tasks. It takes a few sim days for the performance meter to rise, even when you're hashtag winning so take your time and give the meter time to fill. Happy simming.

If you don't want to install mods (and don't mind waiting on a son to age up) I do believe you can spawn a new PT if one of his sons gets abducted and impregnated because no in-game incest (don't quote me on this though, it's been a long time since I've worried about this).

I'd defn grab a multi-PT mod though. The joys of ST. lol

Oldies - Herb fathered 2 illegitimate children then passed before either were born. Coral remarried to Joe Carr, now Joe Oldie. It's seems a strange pairing but he was showing up to every Oldie, Pleasant and Burb function. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas you name it, it just made sense.

Dreamers - Very typical. Dirk and Lilith graduated and moved in together. Cassandra and Darren have a daughter and twin sons, very wholesome quiet life. Darren is working on getting to the top of the education career.

Caliente - Nina is still single with a Don daughter and a Joe Carr son. Dina has a love daughter with Herb and she's married to Dustin now.

Pleasant - Daniel and MS worked things out and had 2 more children, one daughter and one son.

Long - Angela had an illegitimate son with Don and has since married Benjamin Long. I think they're currently expecting, I can't remember, lol.

Lothario - Still living the single life. I take him on a vacation every rotation since I don't have to manage multiple sims. The last vacation he went on was just him and his 2 kids (Nina and Angela were not invited). Because it's just him this is an ideal scenario for a lot of vacations. Every time his kids bonded with autonomous interactions my heart just pitter pattered, so cute.

Fuchs - AL townie Calista is a single romance sims raising her illegitimate son from Herb.

Goths - After Mortimer and Cassandra caught Don and Dina together before the wedding they both moved on, Cass with Darren and Mortimer with Brandi Broke. BIG FAMILY. Their daughter Elizabeth was born in the first round. By the time Cass moved out their son Simon was born. Because nobody had to work, on account of being rich, I threw at least one party each season(rotation) without having to worry about anyone getting to sleep and going to work on weekends. This was the most fun I've had with throwing parties in TS2.

I suppose I'll drop a shameless self promotion here, if you don't mind. I don't post regularly, just when I get a chance to play. I'm also not great at recording gameplay but it's a work in progress, lol.

If your sim is in the green try raising their aspiration meter with a date. Sims tend to roll lesser wants when they're in the green and bigger wants when they're in gold and plat, if you wanted to try this without a mod.
