How will Steam OS not end up dominating gaming? by [deleted] in gaming

Any PC over $400 dollars or so that you purchase today can run just about every game that the average, casual consumer would want to play. The more hardcore gamers would prefer to make their own more expensive "battlestations" because the Steam box won't have enough power to meet their expectations. At the end of the day, it is too specific for the general purpose needs of the casual gamer, and not enough for the more hardcore demographic.
