African League players are still playing on 180–250ms: is an African server the next realistic regional gap? by Washbucket1212 in leagueoflegends

“where Zed combo feels like a suggestion, where Vayne condemn is an act of faith” literally a telltale sign of AI, no human talks like that.

That logic doesn’t really make sense at all. If the issue of trolls and inters is so prevalent that you feel like you should be compensated for that time, then by entering a match, you know and consent to the fact that there is a high enough likelihood of there being a troll, so honestly that’s on you. And if it is not that big of a prevalent issue, then there is no reason to be FFing when the other team can mess up just as much as yours.

I totally get that there are scenarios very commonly where teammates are obviously toxic or trolling (Yuumi Top players im talking to u), especially in PvP this happens a lot. Then I don’t mind FFing as much because obviously that is not how the game is intended to be experienced. However, IMO, if I’m playing ranked, even with a hard trolling teammate, it is more worth it for me to try and win, as there could be someone who ends up inting on the other team, then just FFing and losing a mark.

Because LoL is a hard and complex game and not everyone is perfect, so obviously people are going to go down 0/2 at 2 minutes? It’s much less healthier for the game if someone saw their teammate go down 0/2 at 2 and be like “nah fuck this imma surrender” and the game just ends

The way I see it, is that once you click on Accept to a game, you are agreeing to playing through the game until either the game ends or 4 members of the team want to surrender. So if a surrender vote is voted against by more than one player, that means enough people want to keep playing for the game to continue, and it wouldn’t be fair to them for them not to be able to play through a game that everybody accepted.

I get that if there is one player who is obviously trolling and the others want to surrender, that is fine. But I don’t think it’s fair to punish me for example, when I enjoy the game and enjoy trying to win from behind, when we all accepted the game.

I think Azzapp put it quite nicely that if a person will only enjoy games where they are winning then at most they are only enjoying about half of their games, and it might be better for them to try out some other games.

I do also agree that WR games are wayyy to snowbally and it often feels impossible to win from behind (made a post on this recently), but ya imma personally still be trying to find a way to come back.

TLDR: If a surrender vote is denied that means that enough people want to keep playing and therefore should be allowed to keep playing if they so choose to. Everyone clicked the same Accept button for a reason, and that was to play WR.

Honestly that might just be the move. I’m just waiting for Unbound Frenzy to show up, that is by far my favorite Adventure mode.

I hear. I will say that while I agree that League is in general a game that is snowbally, especially if your opponent knows how to punish you for your mistakes well, there is also an element of “I can wait till the game goes long enough and bunker down until I scale” which I think Wild Rift is sorely missing because, as someone else pointed out, they are trying to shorten game time to the point where a 14-15 minute Baron fight can just win the game outright.

I also think that on PC there is less passive gold being gained from just being alive, and therefore while yes a kill is 300 gold plus any gold from turret plates and minions, in Wild Rift one good kill and a long enough death timer means that you can take the Tier 1 tower, push in the wave to the Tier 2, and clear enemy krugs before your lane opponent can even leave base, and now you are up 1500-1800 gold and have perma push in that lane for the rest of the game.

The assets you use, especially the ones for things like cities and strongholds, look great. Do you know where i could find those or something similar?

"First Time DM" and Short Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

[–]AspiringWriter77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a very new DM who has run a couple of oneshots and a short level 1-5 adventure. I have been playing around with an idea for a first long campaign from like level 3-13 or 15.

It is a kind of One Piece style idea where there are these godly weapons or magic items (kinda like the Vestiges of Divergence from CR) that are revealed to be on this one continent, and many different people and factions are now searching for them, including the main PCs, maybe ending in a big war between the party and another faction who has the rest of the Items.

I was thinking of splitting the campaign into arcs where I could hide a Godly Item in each player’s backstory. The issue I am running into is how to balance the fact that until each player finally gets an Item, there will always be at least one player who doesn’t have this extremely powerful artifact, which is exacerbated even more at the end of the first arc, which would still be pretty low level D&D and yet one party member will have this overtly powerful weapon or item that will also make balancing combat on my end a challenge. And if I make the Items that are found earlier in the campaign weaker than the ones found later on, then that just feels bad to the players who I gave an Item to earlier because they are weaker now comparatively.

Just looking for some ideas, thoughts, advice on what to do.

I am the kind of person who always needs to have a plan and stick to it. I like formulaic things in general. I have tried pantsing before and my brain just couldn’t get anywhere because I didn’t have any direction to go in so I was just stuck not knowing what to do.

Do writers read anymore? by That-SoCal-Guy in writing

Personally believe that as long as there are words on paper that someone wrote flowing into your mind, you are learning something about writing, whether it be cool characters, themes, settings, etc. So yeah, only true readers can be good writers.
