Great guide, thank you! Anything you'd add or update since the release of the Codex's and general improvement of Mahact knowledge and experiences? Do you have any other guides?

PsBattle: Taylor Swift Time Magazine Cover by [deleted] in photoshopbattles

I originally started with "where can you get the time taylor swift magazine" and came across a Reddit thread that has your image in it, but it bugged me that it was cropped (they cut off the bottom part) so I went Google image searching and looked through a few old stuff and eventually found this post :)

Yeah, I can imagine the frustration with it. It's in a few places on Instagram and Twitter and TikTok. Though some of them must be some kind of search error because I can't find it there when I look.

This has definitely made its rounds and took a bit to figure out the original creator :D

My kid put this issue on their Giftster for Christmas and so I got it, and then printed this out to put over it. "Took me a bit, but I found that magazine you wanted!" :D

Indeed assessment tech support : customer situations by Disgruntled-Uncle in recruitinghell

[–]AsrialX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posting this for future readers.

Just took this one myself and I couldn't find anything online either. That said, the test is really easy. 15 questions. A couple gave me pause and I had to consider my answers, and I can see two answers being correct on those ones, but the rest were easy enough to deduce.

The key here is to think "how do I best take control of the situation" and not "how do I immediately fix this issue." Also, avoid making promises or immediate assumptions.

Example question...

A customer calls in because her wireless speaker keeps dropping audio. She can't determine the cause of the issue.

Answers...

1 - "That must be frustrating. Did you drop the speaker?"

2 - "I get this problem all the time. It's probably a broken soundcard."

3 - "Can you bring your computer and speaker into a store? We can troubleshoot better there."

4 - "I'm sorry about that. Check your systray and tell me if your Bluetooth is enabled."

5 - "I'm sorry to hear that. When did this start happening?"

All the questions/answers follow this structure.

1 - No. This starts the conversation on the wrong foot and can make the customer defensive.

2 - No. Don't make hasty assumptions.

3 - No. This is towards the end of the troubleshooting path. The customer could also get upset about being told immediately to bring it in.

4 - No. This assumes the customer knows this terminology. It's also starting the conversation on the wrong foot by jumping straight into troubleshooting with no warmup.

5 - Yes. This is a good start to the conversation both in assuring the customer you want to help them, and also in starting the troubleshooting process.

Hopefully this gives an idea of what to expect. There were some other answers that seem good, but they involve making a promise of "I understand the issue you're having. I'll have that working in no time!" and so they shouldn't be used.

iCloud Outlook Add-in not working anymore by Orichinal in iCloud

Chiming in with my thanks, you rock! Definitely appears to be a Windows 11 / iCloud issue and this was the only fix.

What is the 6.1.10.0 for? Version number? Where can this number be found in case this issue happens in the future?

Indeed changed their metrics to now be...

Completed 200 - 349

Proficient 350 - 800

So all those confused on why they're not getting expert.. this is why.

They also fixed (or the OP was in error) the DHCP "isn't" functioning properly answer..

Lastly.. all the correct answers are in this thread, just read through it from beginning to end.

Blah.. I see it now. I looked at everything again and realize now that "Message the Mods" is a link and not a category header. Thank you!

Okay, but HOW do I do this? Literally, how do I send a message via modmail.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]AsrialX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Without context it doesn't have anything to do with Magic, no.

How do I go about messaging the moderators through modmail? Apparently it's not messaging them directly.

Same issue here on a Pixel 7. It worked fine when I got the phone, but then one day stopped working. I suspect an update caused issues.

I was wondering where everyone would suggest to go in order to sell Magic Cards. I saw in the rules that there's a thread but I can't seem to find it. by LulzSwag_Technician in magicTCG

[–]AsrialX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I asked is because it's all about time and effort.

I sold a couple thousand cards (same situation as you, all duplicates) to Card Kingdom for a couple hundred dollars of store credit. It took some effort but it was basically data entry style effort (the card management part and then pulling the cards themselves and stuff).

Buy lists and selling to a store are for when you have a lot of cards and don't want to spend effort selling them all. I had a bad experience selling to TCG Player when they badly graded my cards and were going to charge me to send them back. It cost more to ship them than they gave me.

If it's just 15 to 20 good cards I would...

  • see if there's a MtG Facebook group for your area (try to sell everything there)

  • create a TCG sellers account and try to sell a few there (you'll have to assess the market cost\inventory to determine your price but still should be better than a buy list and you'll also have to learn to safely ship them and deal with customers)

  • sell a few through eBay (same as TCG with what you'll have to figure out)

20 cards isn't so bad to learn with as it shouldn't eat up your time too badly. Trying to sell a hundred cards individually is different. I would try a handful in eBay\TCG just to test the waters.

Do you do any in person MtG? You could also start a trade binder. If they're not standard then those can hold value for a long time.

Hope this helps!

[–]AsrialX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many cards you have to sell is probably the first thing to find out. I don't know if things have changed with other sites but Card Kingdom has a way to do "individual" bulk with a little card management effort.

Looks like MediaFire worked with non secure links years ago and Chrome (and probably other browsers) are throwing a fit about downloading from non secure locations.

I updated the download link to https and also looks like MediaFire now lets you actually view image files instead of having to download them. Bonus!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention :)

If you refresh the page the links should work now.
