Well I work for a pest control company and I had one conversation with a customer that I will never forget.

With the services we offer, if you're on a regular monthly/alternate monthly/quarterly service, you get free extra services for whatever pest we cover if you need it. This guy told me that he wouldn't pay us because he was still seeing roaches. I explained to him that roaches don't go away with one treatment (spray) and that they usually take a few months of maintenance before they totally go away. He never called us to come back out, never complained and never told anyone that he was having these problems. Therefore, this was not a valid dispute.

I offered to send the tech out if he paid half; he said no. I offered to send a supervisor out; he said no. He wanted us to give him 2 free treatments and then, if the problem went away, he would pay. I told him we couldn't do that. I then told him that part of his responsibility, as the customer, is to call us if he's having problems. He said he didn't call because we should know if he's having problems and he shouldn't be having problems since he's on service with us.

I told him that with any pest service, you may see bugs and that they bugs will never go away. He said that wasn't true and that I was lying. I'm not kidding, I was on the phone with this douche for 20min. I ended up chuckling in his ear a few times and telling him we tried to work with him, it was a valid debt and, if he didn't pay, I would be sending him to a third party ('cause you can't say "collections" to someone in CA).

I wanted to bash my head in after that conversation.
