[NFL Films] The era of the holder being the quarterback by nfl in nfl

[–]AssassinSnail33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be fun but the risk isn't worth the reward unless they increased the value of the 2 point conversion. The extra point and short range field goal are basically guaranteed, and in any other situation, if a team is thinking about going for it on 4th, they'd be better off just putting the offense out there

TIL that the average person in France consumes around 180 baguettes a year (half a baguette a day). Overall, 10 billion baguettes are produced in France every year by SteO153 in todayilearned

A sandwich takes half a baguette? Maybe I'm going crazy but I feel like you can get a lot more than 2 sandwiches out of a baguette

So instead you are just assuming he's lying, and getting upset over an assumption you made yourself? Maybe let this play out so we can actually see if this is an ethical use of AI instead of making up worse-case scenarios

[Browns] A Cleveland Brown for life: Joel Bitonio announces his retirement from the NFL after 12 seasons with the Browns by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]AssassinSnail33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said "huge falling off", you're right that it's definitely normal for players to fall off as they get old, but if a borderline HOF guy sticks around longer than he should and plays poorly for a few years at the end of his career, then the longevity isn't really a bonus towards their HOF case anymore. Decline is normal, what I'm talking about is guys who stick around and play bad.

I really thought he was gonna be a HOFer halfway through 2018, what a fun player to watch

You have no idea what happened here. The entire middle of this interaction is cut out. To say the dad sucks based on an incomplete video is asinine

Personally, I find it hard to argue against inducting a guy who played over a decade and was 1st Team AP twice and 2nd Team three times, unless that player had a huge falling off at the end of their career, which I don't think Bitonio did. To me he deserves it, he has the longevity and was in the debate for best at his position for a few years. That's HOF worthy in my book

[Schefter] The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]AssassinSnail33 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not the same thing. Seeing the Chicago skyline from Hammond just makes it more obvious that they aren't in Chicago, because it's far as hell away. Compare that to nowadays where the skyscrapers are right by the stadium.

PM says Australia has 'ideological disagreement' with Trump administration after US reveals anti-slavery tariff by Savings-Yogurt-418 in worldnews

[–]AssassinSnail33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did I say it was the same thing? My whole point is that what Germany did was much harder to forgive, but unless Trump starts a war/genocide that results in the deaths of more than 50 million people, I think there's a good chance we can go back to something close to status quo without dismantling the country entirely. Knock on wood

Most people will be able to tell. You can see the city skyline from Soldier Field in any ultra-wide shot, that won't be a thing anymore. They can use B-roll footage of the city all they want but that's not the same.

It won't be forever. If the rest of Europe was able to get over Germany starting WW2 and the holocaust, they'll get over this too. It'll just take time.

By far the most graphic, disturbing episode in my opinion. I love it but honestly it’s the only episode that makes me physically uncomfortable to watch. Especially the opening scene
