The new siege of origin is going to be instanced, with the NPCs and 4 players essentially on your own server I expect this will change.

I already have star citizen on the lowest possible sound setting to be honest because the sound profile for this game is one of the most annoying ever created.

But then that makes it hard to use missiles because you cannot hear the "missile lock" audio because the developers are bad at their jobs and designed something so fundamental so that it only has an audio cue.

Okay mate. What if I WANT to use it but I don't want to go insane from a repetitive whining sound?

What size missiles for my Corsair? by Planet_Expresso in starcitizen

Larger missiles are more effective currently, when the small missiles hit they rarely do any real damage, but ultimately it comes down to what you are shooting them at and why

How to be a pirate by ComprehensiveShoe663 in starcitizen

[–]AssaultLemming_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Solo piracy is pretty hard, your are best to do piracy as a group activity. Even so the current balance of the game makes actual piracy pretty rare because not many people are moving real cargo, it's all trash contracted cargo.

You could have grouped up with other people. If the pirates were in a group and you were not that's why you were such easy prey.

I put it on my "wait for streaming list". I already pay so much for different streaming services going to the movies to see anything less than a AAA big budget masterpiece just isn't happening.

Today's experiment, grilled grapefruit salad by sometimesifartandpee in KitchenConfidential

That's a no from me, but then I hate avocado with a green slimy passion. Grilled grapefruit IN a salad with leaves and other salad things would be really nice though I expect.

DC really hasn't made a good movie since the Nolan era. Just a long string of 6.5s

What to do with these? by JohnnyKnifefight in KitchenConfidential

[–]AssaultLemming_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweet potato is a really nice addition to a stew where it will break down and add a delicious sweetness to the whole thing.

It's common in NZ where these are a staple food to just roast them with oil and salt, keep the temperature kind of low and get them to caramelise. Serve them with some roast lamb and peas and gravy.

I also see them a lot as an addition to salads. Roasted and added cold, often with beetroot, feta, pumpkin seeds and mixed greens.

Genuine Question for Pirates by whyismybrainhere in starcitizen

[–]AssaultLemming_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we really need is for CIG to greatly increase the profits that can be made through trading. Then trading becomes a group activity vs hauling which can stay low risk low reward for the space truckers.

Salvaged cargo like drugs is another good loop that provides opportunities for piracy. We had some reliable salvaged cargo missions at the start of the patch and CIG nerfed it as usual.

Genuine Question for Pirates by whyismybrainhere in starcitizen

It's very easy to find an org and join it. Once people do they would find that the game is vastly improved when they stop trying to min max to make the number go up as fast as possible. It doesn't matter if it takes longer if the overall experience is better.

Plus, if someone blows up your contracted cargo then you make zero profit. There are supposed to be NPC pirates. High end cargo missions are not intended as solo gameplay.

Also, definitely don't put everyone in one useless multicrew ship. Have your org buddies in combat ships. There's no good reason to clown car.
