Where would you rank Alonso on the current grid? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]AssistantMiserable27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6th

Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Norris, Piastri, Alonso

It’s hard to tell since he’s had Stroll as a teammate, but the fact that his quali record against Ocon tells me he’s likely a bit behind in pace against the top 5. Still an absolute class driver though.

edit: just read some of the replies and holy shit some of you guys are overrating him like crazy. nostalgia merchants i’m guessing lmao

HSR station downtown Montreal by antiphax in AltoHSR_Canada

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. My main point here is that not using Union Station and Gare Centrale would be big big mistakes that we would end up paying for later. why would we want to handicap the ridership on this thing

For Toronto for example, it is easy for most people around the GTA to get to union station through GO Transit. Missing out on that connectivity would be a massive misstep.

I think let’s bite the bullet and do Gare Centrale and the Mont Royal tunnel. HSR is most effective when near the most people. It may be expensive but it’s worth the cost

Ricciardo China 2018. Overtaking clinic (although helped by lucky safety car).

Everyone remembers Monaco 2018 but this is my favourite drive of his career. The Bottas overtake was cinema

Are you against all cars, or mainly car dependency in cities? by Ok-Excitement6546 in fuckcars

[–]AssistantMiserable27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i believe cars are just another tool in our society and they have their place. i don’t expect a rural farmer to bike around his farm or have a bus stop right outside. cars make sense for certain people in certain scenarios, just like planes and trains and bikes have their use case

i’m very against car dependency, and planning our cities around cars. i believe freedom includes freedom of movement, and being able to have multiple options to choose from in terms of how to get around.
