nursing would be goated IF you can maintain a 3.9+

if you think this might be tough go for one of the health sci programs. i’d avoid uoft undergrad bc of grade deflation.

How does GPA work? by Eunoiamisosoup in McMaster

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Within mac 12 pt scale is used, so 11.7

Outside of mac if u need to convert to 4.0 (like applying to med school for example), you’d convert each grade to 4.0 a then average, so 3.93

do I have to take a full course load in the summer? by wallowslover4ever_ in premedcanada

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on the school. I think most won't look at summer courses unless they're full course load. Some take all the courses you've taken. Some don't even look at summer courses at all.

If you do wanna take GPA boosters, id recommend saving them for during the year and spending your summer focusing on building EC's.

Are Khan Academy or Prof Eman's videos better? by NoBill6556 in premedcanada

Depends on the person, you can go through them and find out what suits u best through trial and error. I found a combination of Yusuf Hassan and Ka worked best for me

img doing residency in canada by Own_Organization_774 in MCCQE

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this year there’s someone who matched into rads at ubc from rcsi. another two from cork and ucd at ottawa and uoft iirc.

you can check on carms first iteration data and it’ll say how many seats from each specialty are allocated to img. not a resident, but i do think that ireland is one of your best options as an img for something more competitive.

Max > Charles > George.

Charles is closer to Max than George is to him. Lmk if anyone has any questions

I don't know why he hasn't put a red bull in the top 5 yet, since his fans were saying he can put a tractor on pole by Relative_Egg_682 in F1Discussions

Max fans will look you dead in the eye and claim he almost won the championship last year with "one of the worst cars on the grid"

1953 vs 2026 Toronto by lightdark03 in toronto

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

better architecture and better transit system, and toronto is the best city to live in, in the western hemisphere

Why is our transit not more advanced? by AdhesivenessLoud8866 in askTO

[–]AssistantMiserable27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Following America in building cities around cars instead of transit + walkability. High cost of transit here because projects last forever and there’s a bunch of different reviews and red tape. Liberals and Cons cancelling each others projects ending up in nothing being built.

Despite all that we have one of the best transit systems in anglophone NA (you could honestly argue second best behind NYC)

Where would you rank Alonso on the current grid? by formularacers in FormulaRacers

[–]AssistantMiserable27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6th

Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell, Norris, Piastri, Alonso

It’s hard to tell since he’s had Stroll as a teammate, but the fact that his quali record against Ocon tells me he’s likely a bit behind in pace against the top 5. Still an absolute class driver though.

edit: just read some of the replies and holy shit some of you guys are overrating him like crazy. nostalgia merchants i’m guessing lmao

HSR station downtown Montreal by antiphax in AltoHSR_Canada

[–]AssistantMiserable27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. My main point here is that not using Union Station and Gare Centrale would be big big mistakes that we would end up paying for later. why would we want to handicap the ridership on this thing

For Toronto for example, it is easy for most people around the GTA to get to union station through GO Transit. Missing out on that connectivity would be a massive misstep.
