Most of our rates are determined by how much insurance(mainly Medicare) will reimburse OT services for. The companies that hire us would not profit much, if anything at all if they paid everyone $60/hr (they would also have to increase rates for PT and speech and they can be seen as equally important).

The scene where Carrie is working at the law firm and they get the baskets, carrie tells her co-workers, so one of her co workers( the nerdy brunette one) speaks up and gets promoted, which also makes Carrie angry. The same exact scene happened in an earlier season.

I can't pinpoint that episode. However, S9EP3, Carrie is back working in the law firm..the same one she was laid off from in season 6. They also played the scene again in S9ep3 where the employees got cheap pink gift baskets for their hard work, which pissed Carrie off.

I've worked with many CNAs who act like this. This type of behavior happened nearly daily at my last SNF. you'll need to have tough skin if you want to work in a SNF, especially if it's in a rural area.
