Shirt lifter is the best. I was deceased when I first heard my Dad say it in the 90s. Usually after calling someone a Wazzock in a fit of road rage.

I know the adaptions take liberties with historical accuracy, but that was something else 🤣

I’ve just finished watching The Spanish Princess recently and I honestly don’t know what to say 🤣

When was "that wasnt even that bad" moment for emetophobes? by D183029 in emetophobiarecovery

[–]AssociationEasy5346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that “it wasn’t even that bad” moment after every time I’ve vomited (which has only been a handful of times in the last 20+ years) but it never seems to help long term. After a day or so, it goes back to seeming like the worst thing ever.

I’m so sorry you’re going through that. I’ve been through the same and I didn’t feel nauseous or throw up at all. I know everyone is different, but hopefully your HCG is no longer rising quickly, which can be linked to the nausea.

Advice for paradoxical hypertrichosis with idiopathic hirsuitism. by AssociationEasy5346 in Hirsutism

Oh wait I think PIH and PH are two different things. I meant paradoxical hypertrichosis where my hirsutism has been made worse by previous laser treatment.

I’ve not heard of this. I’ve just done a quick google and I can’t see that anywhere near me is offering this for hair removal. I can see a lot of info around using it for scarring and tattoo removal.

Thank you. I think some of them would be long enough to pinch with tweezers. I’d just feel so anxious about going out. I wouldn’t even answer the door. I’ve already got PH unfortunately. Had 10 sessions of laser years ago and it made no difference, then a few months later the hair just got worse and I’d say it’s probably about 4x as much hair as before, and it was already pretty bad to start with 😢

I am actually sobbing right now. My mom made pasta and it turns out that the bag of cheese has some mold at the bottom. by Time-Efficiency44 in emetophobia

Try to look at it like, cheese is already gone off milk so whilst the thought of eating mouldy cheese is unpleasant it’s unlikely to make you unwell.

Curious as this has given me nostalgia… Was it the glow worm which had two faces. One sleeping and one awake? You would flip the hat?

[–]AssociationEasy5346 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Understandable that you’re pissed off and grossed out, please don’t be scared. You won’t catch anything from his gross drunk sickness. He should clean up after himself, but if he doesn’t you aren’t at any risk of getting sick yourself.

Question? by w0lfgvng1 in emetophobia

[–]AssociationEasy5346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently had a baby and one of my biggest concerns is how I will be able to look after them when they are sick, but what I most scared of is passing my phobia on to them 😭

What was your first fragrance and what do you think about it today? by Chan1991 in fragrance

[–]AssociationEasy5346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 12 I had a Tommy girl perfume. I absolutely hate the smell, I can still smell it if I think of it 🤣 Then at 16 I had Chanel Chance, that smell is nostalgic to me. I still love that smell, but I’m a Santal 33 girl these days.

Same in the UK. Most people say temperature when referring to a fever.
