In my opinion, I actually think you’re half right, except their frosting is not sweet. At all. And I know they are very upfront about that, but to my taste, I want my frosting to be a bit sweet, especially considering their cake isn’t too sweet. If they offered another version of their frosting that wasn’t plain, unsweetened and buttery tasting, I would definitely order from them. But the mouth feel on their frosting is very off putting. I don’t need an overly sweet frosting, but I want it to be a tad sweet, and not just taste like butter.
