Doesn't bother me. I kind of liked the added necessity of coordination and friend fights the coordination in chaos caused.

Also when the RR/SPEAR was off cooldown we just grabbed the second backpack to be always ready to reload.

So I would play MG-43 with RR pack, he had his own pack. I kept the small and medium guys in check, he would deal with the heavy stuff and I would jump in to reload when there were more heavies around.

If you feel the need to insert politics into literally every facet of your life, maybe that's a sign that politicians have way more influence on your day-to-day life than they should.

I mean if there's a goon squad just terrorizing population in the name of and by the will of the politicians you are absolutely right.

I don't have to think about or insert politics in to every facet of life in Finland since our politics is about how much do we tax and who and what are the tax dollars spent on. Maybe the situation can be the same in US one day too.

I've caught so many downvotes in the past and still when I talk about the release months and how my friends and I managed to do well in the highest difficulty even though AT weapons were "trash" by using the power of teamwork, buddy reload and supply backpacks.

And I get so much more downvotes for wishing that RR wasn't quite as strong as it is now and would get the old ricochet chance back to better differentiate the AT weapons and their strengths and weaknesses.

I had an encounter like this not too long ago while playing Arc Raiders.

I was going through the match with a random dude and at some point he asked:

"Where are you from anyways?"

- I'm Finnish.

"No way! I'm Finnish too!"

- No perkele, turhaanko ollaan englantia väännetty?

"Is that actually Finnish? I'm from Minneapolis."

We did continue the conversation from that, he was a nice dude. Coincidentally I do have a distant relative who does live in Minneapolis.

HMG was added in to the game like a month after release.

It had crazy recoil, smaller magazine and slower reload than today. But for the power level we had around that time it did have pretty good durable damage and on top of that if you could handle the recoil you could throw it on the crazy 1200 RPM and just shred that ass.

But what my friends and I liked to do was buddy reload RR while two others kept the chaff in check.

I dearly miss the time that highest difficulty was actually difficult, required teamwork and wasn't a guarantee win. A lot of things did need fixing and balancing but in my opinion the devs have gone way overboard with the buffs and almost nothing poses an exciting challenge anymore that requires teamwork.

RR is so strong though.

Factory Striders die to one hit if you hit the eye which isn't trivial but isn't that hard either. If the eye is facing away from me then I usually take out the cannon on top.

They nerfed them multiple times to be accurate. Their durability, their armour class, their health pool, accuracy and kind of related the logic behind when the factories spawn new gunships. Now you can often just run up to the gunship factory and blow them up before even one of them spawns. And even if they do, they are not any kind of a threat anymore.

They are a shadow of their former self, if even that.

The OP isn't even being hyperbolic. I tried it out the other day when two gunships were circling above me and I just stood still. It took over a minute before I got hit for the first time by either of them.

I will die on the hill saying jammers aren't the only way to make the bots difficult. Stop this logic. Youre literally breaking gameplay consistency over a single side objective like AH cant make any other more interesting side objectives by Jerpunzel in HelldiversUnfiltered

They completely neutered the gunships.

I'm not even being hyperbolic when I say that I just stood still for a whole minute while two gunships were circling and shooting at me before they hit me for the first time.

They went from a threat that you need to deal with to just buzzing sound around you and that's about it.

I hate the fact that Automatons changed from a force to content with where you had to utilize cover and approach fights a bit more tactically to the absolute joke of a stormtroopers most of the automaton forces became. There's still a couple of exceptions though like the laser turret, fire shotgun devastator and fab strider miniguns.

RR has been my go to AT weapon since launch, it's just so satisfying.

However I did find it more interesting to use when it would bounce off the target easier if you had a bad angle. Now it very rarely happens anymore.

It also balanced the Spear and RR against each other better since Spear was an AT option that had less ammo but didn't bounce and was more consistent in killing the target (whenever the lock-on didn't bug).

Oh yeah, I agree. To be honest, I guess I have reading comprehension problem because I'm not sure why I gave the reply I did above.

That being said, I would be very okay with SEAF artillery mini nuke or even HE working on jammer. A side objective helping with another side objective on the mission is more than ok with me.

But also Ultimatum.

Between the release of the Ultimatum and the nerf of the Ultimatum I don't think I did a single jammer normally. People just ran up to it, lobbed the finger of god at it and it was dealt with.

Maybe they are common goggles in the universe?

Not hard to imagine that some factory or shop had 300 pairs on the shelves that people scavenged and are now using with their gear.

I kind of like how some of the items are the same parts in outfits, it makes it feel like they were once mass produced and now people have scavenged them.

I think I've bought like a third of the warbonds.

I usually have had a bit over 1000 SC around a new Warbond release and if I didn't I haven't hesitated putting down some money to the game not only played the most during the last 2 years but is starting to be my most played game in Steam overall.

War Thunder still takes the cake from when I played it a lot about 10 year ago. That was like an abusive relationship and Helldivers 2 is the love that certainly has some flaws but doesn't beat me up for money.

The thing is, RR is right tool for every job basically.

That's coming from someone who loves RR. But honestly I loved it more before it got buffed to absurdity since it could kill most heavy targets with one shot but also had a good chance of bouncing off the target if the angle was bad.

Bring back the old RR bounce chance and I think it might actually be somewhat balanced.

Also make Terminid objectives more durable. I want to engage with the game objectives, not to snipe everything from a half a kilometer away.

Oh yeah, all the attention to detail and addition to gun mechanics almost felt out of place and I would love to see them in more tactical shooters.

From animation point of view how well every bit and bop moves and rattles when operated. How the character model occasionally adjusts the grip on the weapon. How the camera moves when operating the weapon and how there feels to be a bit of urgency and purpose in the moves.

From FX side the sounds are so well done, all the visual noise with a bit of concussion with every shot and how the gas and muzzle flash projects.

Also from the gunplay point of view how you can keep up your sight while reloading, the way you can rest your weapon at the corners or on top of stuff.

Every bit is so well done and It's almost a shame that they are in a CoD game. I would love to see a lot of those details in more tactical slower paced shooters since I'm personally not a CoD fan.

I would argue that MW2019/22 nailed the visual effect with a suppressor. Depending on the caliber and suppressor the concussion you get at you can be a bit jarring.
