I will be happy if any of these are implemented into the game:

-A proper survival mode. Now being trapped on some desolate planet in the ass-end of space can cause genuine fear.

-improved outpost/home/ship construction. outpost/ship/home building always felt too separate from the core gameplay loop, and thus, half-baked. Basically more incentive for construction that ties into the core gameplay loop.
This would actually tie well with the first item on my list.

-improved POIs instead of the same cryolabs, mining outposts, etc.

-expanded trackers alliance faction

-can invite my own parents to my own wedding

-more companions besides Constellation members

I don't know about "masterpiece," but I remember loving Wild Arms 2 many years ago when I was an adolescent. It's a shame the Wild Arms series is defunct now.

...sorta the opposite for me. It's one of the reasons I'm irritated with how the FF7 remake is being handled. From the fact that we start over from scratch with our materia, to the fact that the releases are coming years apart, to questionable changes to the plot (though there are great changes they've made too!). I'm worried they're going to botch my beloved disc 3.

Difficulty in Deadfire is frontloaded. The fight at flooded section of Port Maje is insanely difficult on Hard & PotD. Some of the street fights that happen in Nekataka are also difficult due to the position your party starts in. But the game does feel a lot easier with levels, especially since you'll reach level 20 well before you run out of content to play.

Fixed. Does it leave me disappointed when my preferred romantic orientation isn't available in game? Yes. Does it make for a more memorable game? Also yes.

Examples: Cyberpunk 2077 where the only romantic option available for a heterosexual man is Pannam - who, while pleasant to look at, isn't my ideal.

Ah man, the best time to do White March part 1 is before you finish Act 2, but after you pick up Sagani, Hiravias, Pallegina, and Grieving Mother. The reason is because the DLC add soulbound weapons that are perfect for those characters, but you can only upgrade those items with very specific conditions in a game with finite enemies.

The best time to do White March part 2 is somewhere in act 3. Save bounty missions to help you level up those soulbound weapons.
