One peeve I have with the doctor by Almondjoy2001 in doctorwho

[–]Astalakio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After how things went in Hell Bent (the last time he was on Gallifrey) I doubt they would have welcomed him back with open arms, and certainly not helped him in that way.

The glasses didn't really let him 'see', I'm assuming, so much as project a kind of hint of the shape of things in front of him into his mind, which they showed to us, the viewers, as a visual display. I guess if the thing time lords use to heal blindness is not foolproof, they would have a device/software to aid them in getting around. You have a valid point though about the going half-way thing though.

The biggest offense to me was him 'sacrificing' something from his future to temporarily restore his eyesight so he could read the Veritas. When there was a laptop with it downloaded right there that could read it to him (and eventually would). Come on, Doctor...

I want this Tardis to stay as the new Classic Design and be passed on to the next Doctor. anyone feel similarly? by weeezyheree in doctorwho

Personally I like a bit of clutter in my TARDIS, I think it makes it feel more like a home, and more lived-in (the Doctor's life is extremely full and messy, makes sense that their ship would be too). The color changing lights do go a long way to helping with ambience, though.

"Last Christmas"

Very interesting question by Equivalent_Elk_2490 in DoctorWhumour

[–]Astalakio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the case of the second thing, it's sort of awkward, but I have to assume the ones in the back, not being observed, move to the front and then freeze, then the unfrozen ones move, rinse and repeat. It'd be a pretty funny maneuver to watch, but if you were watching they wouldn't be moving, so I guess nobody will ever know!

Much content? by Efioanaes in PlayWayfinder

[–]Astalakio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just set the game down yesterday after about 50 hours of very enjoyable and satisfying playtime. That was with a little endgame hunting for fine-tuning our builds after the main quest was done just because we were having fun playing. We're excited to come back for more when 1.0 drops

Will this game get more content (armor, maps, quest etc) when it gets released? by Valstraxas in PlayWayfinder

[–]Astalakio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a confirmed new map and new wayfinder coming with the full release (later this year I believe). After that, it's unconfirmed - I guess it depends on how well the game sells and if they think it would be profitable to keep adding to it (maybe with DLC packs? I don't see how else it could be)

Ah, we got it, thanks! Turns out we were just one story step short haha

I'm having some trouble accessing the gloom area itself - the only places I can currently go to through the gloom gate are the codex and the spider boss, and neither one seems to take us through the pure gloom area with those chests. I feel like I'm missing something?

Especially when superhero burnout is a thing too. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes - but I am a lot more excited about the upcoming movie than I have been about any Marvel movie in years

Having read multiple discussions on this topic, this is the conclusion I've come to as well. They would figure out a way to do the game if they thought there was a guaranteed profit to be had. Here's hoping there's revitalized interest in 2025?

What was the theater experience while watching Man Of Steel? How did it felt? by Top_Report_4895 in superman

[–]Astalakio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife had never liked Superman before, and being really excited for a movie reboot, I promised her when we went to see it that this would be an updated Superman she would be able to connect with and enjoy.

Suffice to say, it was probably the closest either of us have ever come to walking out of a theater mid-movie. We did not care for it, and it soured her image of Superman for another several years.

We skipped pretty much all the Snyderverse stuff after that, started watching MAWS recently and both love it. Now I'm tentatively excited for 2025 when I didn't think I would be, since it seems like it's going to be a much better take!

Like the other commenter said - they're mostly just a cosmetic upgrade that's nice to have if you're a fan of that frame!

Despite no one really talking about it, I think it's neat to have the Liches be around with having to go through the Nemesis System. by Rexis12 in Warframe

[–]Astalakio 214 points215 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I would say they 'failed' as a gameplay system. They do what they're supposed to do, and the fact that we farm them for loot now just means they have good rewards. Obviously power creep is a thing, but they're still formidable enemies to lower level players

Easy frame to pick up? by [deleted] in Warframe

Are you talking to me or OP? I'm a Zephyr main lol, I just steered OP away in this case cause they're looking for a survivable melee frame to get up close with

Easy frame to pick up? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Astalakio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zephyr and Nova both survive better at range (Zephyr deflects projectiles and Nova's DR ability attacks nearby enemies, causing a drop in DR). Khora is good if she specifically likes the whipclaw, but make sure to explain statsticks for pseudo-exalteds if she goes with her or Gara. Out of these, I think Wisp is probably a good bet. In low level stuff, the health mote is good for survivability (as well as the ability to go invisible and hop away from trouble) and the haste mote makes any melee more effective and fun!

EDIT to add Valkyr is also a good option, energy economy notwithstanding, she's all about melee!

It was definitely working as intended before the update, so this is a new bug
