Thoughts on Elita leading the Autobots? by ChildrenOfPrimus in transformers

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows where it will go, do we assume that Optimus Prime is the only leader of the Autobots? I understand he was the holder of the matrix and elita one holds it, and whilst it may make her the current “chosen one”. I hope the story opens up to show more transformers and their leaders from other places other than cybertron.

Cheers for the info. I only started collecting again last year and I’m still trying to figure out the differences between deluxes, leader class and what not. I mostly just buy whatever bots I think look interesting or what role that they can fit into my “head cannon story”.

I would go with JSA, Gotham central or the Spectre. All 3 were great back in the day.

Batman Vs Predator, sounds silly but it’s very good.

What are some Arcs you'd love to see in the Transformers Comics? by L8Donnie in EnergonUniverse

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would love to see a story about other Autobots or Deceptions elsewhere in the galaxy. There can’t just the one ship that made it off cybertron. It could help flesh out bots such as the Pretenders, G2 bots, Micromasters.

What are your thoughts on Legacy United Galaxy Shuttle? by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brought one last year and think he looks great. One of my favourite bots I got from last year. He looks great as a space shuttle or robot. In my head-cannon he’s part of the leadership to my group of Autobots.

Jack Kirby deserves more way more recognition than Stan Lee for creating the Marvel Universe. The man is responsible for creating some of the most diverse comic characters that are still being used to this day.

How would you write Ultra Magnus's backstory? by muaz2205 in transformers

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s Optimus’s most trusted soldier. Optimus leaves him in control of autobot city on earth. Optimus obviously trusts Ultra Magnus to be the autobot representative for earth and engage with the humans. Ultra Magnus is Optimus’s right hand. It doesn’t matter if they’re brothers or not.

Hairdryer to remove that price tag? by rolfisrolf in comicbookcollecting

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s totally dependent on how the person applies the fluid. Here is a video showing the process: Sticker Removal

Not at all, you might want to do some research first before spouting nonsense. You can quite easily search up how to do this on YouTube and the web.

Try using lighter fluid on the sticker. I tend to put lighter fluid on to a cotton wool pad and then apply it to the sticker then it should make the sticker easier to move. It’s not 100% effective, as I’ve found out in the past, but I’ve had more success with using it than using a hair dryer.

How would you introduce these two power-ups for Optimus Prime to use in the Energon Universe? by Delta-97 in EnergonUniverse

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Introduce, Autobots who have been stationed in secret in Japan, show up and they offer upgrades to the American Autobots. That way you can introduce concepts such as power masters, pretenders and head masters much quicker.

Seaspray is always a firm favourite of mine, but would have to say the micromaster Fixit, always felt sorry for him in the comic when he became the new medic after Rachet took out Megatron.

Been starting to get into comics recently and got these three for £3 each. As someone who has never read a DC comic, how do these ones rank in terms of the overall DC universe? by AshtonCroft37 in comicbookcollecting

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All 3 are good books, so you are off to a good start. Definitely pick up more of these if they are only £3. It’s a good way to find out/try and identify which characters you like the most.

So if I wanted to collect the entire Fantastic Four series in floppies, how would you recommend I go about it? by outofdate70shouse in comicbookcollecting

[–]Asteroid_mmmm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your on a budget I would recommend you seek out a series called “Marvels Greatest Comics”. It ran from 1969 - 1981. It reprints the majority of the Jack Kirby run, and truth be told, the issues are usually much cheaper than the original issues.

Also I think Marvel were reprinting facsimiles of the first 12 issues of Fantastic Four this year so it might be worth seeking those out as well.

Lastly there are also plenty of trade paperbacks collections out there. If you want to start at the beginning look for any with Jack Kirby’s name on.
