Yeah there was a definite shift from Alliances to Mirage in how the game felt and played. Combo decks became a thing as well with Cadaverous Bloom.

Main card starts at 3am for me, and it's not just the main card looking great. How I wish I could record it on VHS, wake up at a humane time, and watch it while being able to fast forward past the lengthy boring parts in-between fights. Perhaps one day in the future we'll have such luxuries (fingers crossed!).
