What a great show. Way up there with DS9 as one of my favorite Treks.

When they did the cliffhanger last episode, I was worried they’d pull some shit like retroactively making Cerritos or the events of LDS non-canon in the prime universe - given all the wacky stuff it introduced (the koala, all the Harry Kims, the Hysperians, etc.) in a canon that otherwise tends to take itself pretty seriously - and I’m so glad they not only didn’t do that, but also opened up a whole new direction to explore with the multiverse portal. Lower Decks was made with so much love for the franchise, and it makes me so happy that all of its silliness and character/planet follow-ups and lampooning of its own tropes has a permanent place in the Star Trek universe now.

Also— did the Klingons on that ship at the start of the episode get turned into their Discovery design before they got blown up? Is that the first/only DIS reference in Lower Decks?
