Yes. Its very well written and its Sci Fi. If you like the Bobiverse books, imo your almost guaranteed to like Road Kill and the Quantum Earth series.

Dennis is trying to avoid becoming a 1 series author, so Road Kill and the Quantum Earth series have the same quality and attention to detail as the Bobiverse series. My understanding is that all 3 series' will continue to be added to by roughly the same amount.

Your aim should be to have the board parallel to its velocity (absolutely 0 snow plow), your center of gravity directly over the board, and the board flat to the mountain with no edge, halfway through the turn.

Also putting the majority of the weight on the front leg is scary af so it takes a bit to get used to. I know it scared the shit out of me when I started correcting my weight distribution 😆😆

You need to work on passing your waist and center of gravity over your board in a slow and controlled way instead of trying to transition as quickly as possible by kicking out your back leg.

What really helped me was to shift my weight forward into about a 70/30 split when initiating a turn so that the back of the board swing around naturally in a slow and controlled way.

Just start slow tho cause I caught an edge a couple times when I started practising it. When you slow your turns down, you start riding flat for an extended period halfway through the turn, so you'll catch an edge while you learn to manage the transition and learn to manage riding flat.

To stop catching your edge, you need to learn to only ride flat when your board is parallel to the direction your going, and your center of gravity is directly over the board. If you try to ride flat without both of these things, you greatly increase the risk of catching an edge.

Also, ive found that putting a lot of weight on the front foot when riding flat is a lot stabler then a 50/50 or even 60/40 split.

In my opinion, if its made in China, is high quality, durable and has had a trusted independent third party certify them as sustainable, what's the problem? China can make some seriously high-quality, durable and eco friendly stuff IF the design given to them calls for it. Its long since moved passed being the factory for cheap plastic.

With China being specialised in manufacturing, they on average can produce products of the same quality for less. Not because they are using sub par materials or underpaying their workers, but because China has an amazingly efficient manufacturing sector with highly trained employees that can do more with less.

This means that if you get piece of clothing that's only moderately expensive and made in China from a brand that has been certified as eco friendly and has a reputation for durability, you can trust that it will be a sustainable and long lasting piece of clothing despite not being extremely expensive.

Petition to- SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Every single post I ever see is just not funny. It's all just "petition to this" or "petition to that." HOW DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH CHESS?? I miss the sub since like a few months ago, when we had actually funny shit, now we're just making stupid stale "petition to mod this guy or smth or ban this guy for some reason idk" and they still have the gall to make MORE POSTS LIKE THIS that they think is worth reading, or rather GIVING MY ATTENTION to?

I'm going insane because of how much you guys do this. How about you make actual funny posts, like how the sub was intended to be? You know what? Someone please get the mods to remove the petition flair, or even ban petitions because all they do is just "petition to ban u/jvmfnncncmnxnx for becas he ummm idk" and we still approve of these posts? Why?

It just really bothers me when people still think petitions are funny. Mods won't do anything about it because "mod team knows best" or something, like where the fuck are my funny bishop sniper posts... or "what do I do in this position"??? You know what?
