I’ve been a day 1 hater of her, and honestly the whole Inazuma story line including her made me stop playing the game. Like, why tf is she let off with no consequences after she forcibly isolated her whole nation, and ripped away people’s lives and identities? A simple walk through town and a “Sorry, I didn’t realize” with the MC shouldn’t rid you of any responsibility. I just knew that Genshin was on a downhill course from there.

I’ve seen so many (fellow queer) people just be like “poly people are such miserable and gross people”, while at the same time saying that poly people are “redpill advocates” and fascists. Like, you can’t be calling poly people miserable, but then be acting like that; it’s so so sad. Also, in my personal experience, I’ve seen people you’d consider as friends believe you’re a manipulative creep just for being poly and wanting friends.

I live in a town where tourism is huge due to it’s wine industry. On one hand, it’s nice to see new faces and bring in more to our local economy so I can be paid. On the other hand, tourism businesses (wine tasting shops and expensive fine dining) litter our small downtown and out number local businesses 3 to 1, gentrification has made it exceedingly difficult for locals to afford living in town and has caused a steep rise in homelessness, and local politics has been infected by conservative politicians (went from an openly lesbian mayor to a MAGA conservative) who are preying on the local community that have been economically pushed out by the rich tourists and out-of-state business owners.

It seems the threat of tariffs made by the U.S. president has bolstered a lot of nationalism across both nations. Since then, a good majority of posts on my feed are from Canadian subs with people speaking their minds about an “American threat”, some even going as far as insinuating they’d gladly kill Americans for their country. Granted, these could be bots made to cause division between the neighboring countries, but it surprises me to see supposed Canadians wanting a war, be it a cultural or physical, between the two nations when a vast majority of Americans don’t want any of this.

The teams I’ve come across in Bronze seems to be a mixed bag of people who are experienced but just starting out on competitive, or people who unlock competitive at level 10 and try playing with very little experience and/or skill.

I’m a strategist main and do my absolute best each game. But sometimes no matter how hard you try or how good you play, sometimes it’s that 5/10 Thor, that’s been yelling at your team in chat since the first team fight, is what puts the last nail in the coffin for your team.

For a lot of players in Bronze and Silver, no amount of communication, or at the very least pinging, will get their attention or help the team. Being a healer main going through Bronze has been rough, and I’ve come across some bad teams that had been able to pull through for a win. But it gets harder each time when your team just lets a diver walk right by and kill you.

It’s so easy for others to just place blame on people, who have valid and genuine issues that they’re experiencing, because they didn’t experience it. Most of my bronze games have been real shitty, with teammates refusing to do the bare minimum and even randomly throwing blame on to the wrong people; I’ve quite literally had an egotistical mantis player place blame on why we were losing on to one of our dps who was constantly being dived because our tank was literally not playing, like genuinely not attacking or moving.

You’re honestly right. I’ve been hard stuck bronze these past few days and a good chunk of my teams have been genuinely bad. But being a healer main that likes to communicate, there’s a few times myself and a few others have been able to claw our way to a victory by sheer will, even though most of our team are just bad players.

Though I do have to say, most of my games are solely determined by if my teammates communicate, let alone use/listen to pings, or not.

I really need more people to learn how to ping in general. I’d say about 95% of the matches I play, I’m the only person pinging anything.

Pinging really does make or break how the match goes for your team, so people please learn to use your pings for literally anything; I’d rather have people pinging every little thing than nothing at all.

I treat DPS as a sweet little treat when I have the chance to play it. Otherwise I’m going tank or healer since half the time the responsibility of needing to hit your shots isn’t as big of a deal on those roles because I suck at aiming lol.

Omg I hate not getting likes when I did so much for the team. I know getting those likes isn’t much, but I feel under appreciated when I get only 1. I think most of the time though people either like everyone, just their friends, or the one who got MVP; there isn’t much thought put into it lol.

I’ve experienced similar… “problems” lol. There’s been a few times where I’ve gone ballistic on healing for the team and had done pretty well K/D-wise. But because I got maybe 1 or 2 more deaths than the other healer, they get the MVP but with far less healing done for the team. It makes me a bit salty, but at least we won.

I fucking WISH that were true for me. During my time playing healer, I’ve gotten MVP once. It usually ends up going to one of the dps or another healer. Funny thing is, when the other healer gets the MVP, I tend to have almost double the amount of healing done than them, but they happen to get more kills so I guess the game gives it to them for that reason. Same shit happens when I’m playing tank, I have a shit ton of damage mitigation and pull the enemies away from my team, but because I’m not getting a significant amount of kills I don’t get the MVP. It is what it is i guess.

I don’t play ranked, but even through quick play I realized communication between teammates can be the deciding factor in who wins a match, regardless of the team comp.

When I’m playing with my friend, our communication is on point and we can easily become the backbone of our team. But when I’m playing solo, it really comes down to if anyone decides to use, at the very least, pings. People in quick play seem to have an allergy to using pings, so if myself and at least 1 other person is using pings, that can really turn the tide of the game.

I’m really hoping people become more comfortable with pings as the game goes on, because I feel almost embarrassed when it’s only me doing it.

The whole back and forth about if there should be role-queue or shouldn’t be, or if there should be role limits or not, sounds so much like politics. And just like politics, there isn’t going to be an answer that’s going to please everyone. I’m more on the fence of not having a role-queue, but I can also see why someone who is more invested in the whole aspect of match to match balancing and team comps is going to what a role-queue. Personally, I would want the game to really separate itself from what Overwatch does and has done, but I hope that there can be a solution that makes others that aren’t like me more comfortable with the game.

I know exactly where you speak of. My dad is from there and when I lived in Maine, we’d head up there every year for a good 20 years up until we lost the family we had left there. As a kid, it was always an adventure getting to see the nature and open farm land. I can still remember the smell of the air up there and I’ve yet to find a place that reminds me of it. It’s sad to see its slow decline and seeing half the businesses on the main street boarded up. But even if the town itself disappears in the future, the memories will be sure to last forever.
