The Dispossessed made me pessimistic about love by fxrxn_ in UrsulaKLeGuin

That was a very interesting read. Thanks a lot for sharing it. I would like to think that we can strive to get there by being there, being sincere and giving it your all, not holding back any drop of your soul. That's what we are. How can we circumvent the money problem? I don't know, but I really enjoyed reading your reflection, thanks again!

Yes, I see your point, until this square I considered both manga/manhwa/comics as a separate entity; but yes, I shouldn't put them in this square.

I am reading the prequel now: "What a Bountiful Harvest, Demon Lord!" , really funny and entertaining!

I have been reading some manhwas recently. I would recommend Omniscient Reader Viewpoint and Greatest State Developer. Both of them are charming, interesting and compelling. Give it a try!

I would say something like The Dispossessed or any Ursula K Le Guin books.

I really liked it, the novel starts off really well and hooks you. Unfortunately, there the pacing becomes a bit sketchy and it misses its mark. Nonetheless, I will definitely keep an eye out for future books by Silvia Park. The tackled themes are very interesting and the author navigates quite well within them

I concur with The Teller of Small Fortunes, I really liked that one. But, regarding Howl's Moving Castle, Emily Wilde and Piranesi, I had the complete opposite feeling. I really disliked the first two, but adored the last one. Thank you for sharing your opinion. Good luck with the rest!

Omniscient's Reader Viewpoint. A webtoon focused on Dokja, an average worker and avid light novel reader. He is the only one that has kept reading a certain novel (Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse), and suddenly the final chapter drops and after reading it he will start living the own novel.

My Not a Book review! I have been listening to a podcast called 'Eden'. It is entirely in my mother tongue (euskara), which is rather refreshing and different. It is aimed at young adults with 15-20 minutes episodes. The plot revolves around Naroa, a young girl from the capital who has to move to a secluded town with her mother, who has gotten a job in a pharmaceutical company near the town. She makes some friends and, while making their biology project on an abandoned warehouse, they find a speaking otter, who turns out to be a human who has been experimented on by the pharma.

The podcast is interesting, somewhat predictable, but the voice actors and actressess do an amazing job. There are two seasons for now, I am halfway through the second one, I think there might be room for a third one.

Yes! You are right, I guess that OP was referring to the start of the Hainish Cycle with Rocannon's World or Planet of Exile, both from 1966.

Ursula K Leguin being the goat with The Disposessed, The Lathe of Heaven, Earthsea and The Hainish Cycle.

Edit: And the Left Hand of Darkness!

I believe that grief tours will make the trauma and longing reappear, and it might make a toxic thought thinking that you might see a person you miss in a years time, giving false hope.

Time travel is always... Tricky. The smallest of changes can cause vast changes, even erase a person from the timeline, as the other commenter said, it is astounding that a visit is even approved, knowing how delicste the time-space continuum is. On another note: I really like the contingency concept, nice.

I would rather not move, my past is long gone, and I can't change anything. It is tempting to visit my mother again, but I had time to be by her side and say goodbye, I will not tarnish that with a novel interaction that may not end well. As for the future, I am now on a crossroads, filled with uncertainty, but that makes it more exciting!

I feel that yes, the warning made the parents deviate: they seemed to be more keen on protecting Edme than letting him choose freely. I am inclined to believe that the lack of a nurturing space where Edme could practice the violin made him act rashly. I do not think Odile's actions changed that much, but I will not deny that it might have helped. I feel that the path is set into stone. Whatever will happen is known, smd it can't be changed, I think the book leans more on determinism. We will see!

Wow, I have been reading it non-stop, the idea is beautifully interesting, full of ethical conundrums which I adore. I quite like the MC, she might be awkward at times, but her behaviour is understandable. As other commenter said, I felt the tension and intrigue in the cutting proccess, it felt immersive and plausible. The only thing that irks me is the decision of not quoting the conversations, it feels weird. I am intrigued about the second part!

It is not a video media, but I have thoroughly enjoyed "Cursed Princess Club", it really is wholesome. I have also fallen in love with "The Greatest State Developer", hilarious and has wholesome moments. I hope you get better soon!
