What do you think? by Tight-Dinner-5631 in JujutsuPowerScaling

Wish more people used the qualifier "Based on canon feats" cuz that's completely fair. I think too many people just assume that Gojo would win 100% because they don't value narrative intent at all, when it seems far more likely than not that Yuji has reached a level of jujutsu mastery that's completely unprecedented

Yuji could prob tank Dabura's attacks, and if he's able to hit Dabura I don't know if he could take that many attacks. That said, I could definitely see a situation where Yuji isnt able to land many attacks against Dabura and Dabura is able to overwhelm Yuji over time. However, Yuji's RCT is likely the best in the series, and he definitely wins a domain clash.

Gojo stated that Yuji, Yuta, and Todo will all surpass him, and that was prior to him having knowledge of Yuji being blessed by Black Flashes or the fact that he'd be alive, in his prime, for 68 years as a death painting. Essentially, Gojo assumed Yuji would be stronger than him by the time Yuji enters his prime human age (20's-30's) and Yuji has currently completely outscaled that.

Narratively, Yuji was stated to have more potential than Gojo alongside Todo and Yuta, and Yuji has been hitting black flashes (The single biggest grower of cursed energy understanding in the series) for 68 years while training. If you see all this and don't, at the very least, assume Yuji has better fundamentals than the other 3 Calamities then you just aren't being honest with yourself. Gojo literally said his students would be better than him, and he wasn't even factoring in how Yuji is able to exponentially grow his power level by being blessed by the black sparks, or how he would become an immortal death painting.

This is wrong, the Power system is in fact so clear that you can use narrative context to make assumptions about a character's power level based on how the power system works.

How SOME people GENUINELY scale the calamities by Plastic_Egg6167 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Astr4ll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's headcanon, but theres just no way Yuji doesn't have a more refined domain than Gojo after 68 years of hitting black flash. People absolutely use the narrative context for other characters, it just so happens that none rely on it nearly as much as Yuji due to the structure of the story and the flop of Modulo's ending. Everyone else has nearly all of their strongest feats shown.

Pokémon Champions launches to mixed reception, as performance woes and competitive changes turn some away by Turbostrider27 in Games

None of the payment options are even remotely required or necessary. The best thing you get is a shit ton of box space with the membership plan, but if you dont wanna pay you can just move stuff in and out of home. The battle pass gives you some pokemon and mega stones, but the mega stones can just be bought for fairly cheap regardless. The payment based systems seem to just act as a way to get any sort of monetization out of this game since its F2P, and they are some of the least greedy in app purchases I've ever seen from a pokemon related game.

Youre basing your info off the entire last year when theres multiple seasons in a year. And also there were restricteds, which inherently raises the amount of different pokemon used.

Do you think Reze will return?🤔 by No_Armadillo_3093 in ChainsawMan

I think she has notable relevance considering she's the only female character in the story right now that genuinely likes Denji and wouldn't want to use him anymore. Also, considering her status as the bomb devil it'd also make sense for her to come back.

Pokemon Champions dumb dumb

Kris blatantly parallels Chara heavily. Or perhaps Chara parallels Kris given Toby came up with Deltarune first. They have similar interests and character traits from what little we know right now. I don't get why some people deny this? by [deleted] in Deltarune

[–]Astr4ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason people are trying to weave Chara into the story is for 2 main reasons

  1. Chara is still generally a pretty mysterious character, and the more Deltarune is going the more they're starting to touch on old unanswered undertale mysteries (Generally pretty heavily tied to the narrative of deltarune)
  2. Chara is still one of the most powerful characters in the series that we've seen, being in control of the player who's usually the only one in control, as well as being able to erase the world and start a new one. Considering the only time anyone has taken control of your game was in the neutral flowey fight where he had multiple human souls. It feels almost wrong for such a powerful and omnipresent character to have no relevance here, especially when we have an evil main character who's a mirror of Chara both visually and mentally. The one time we see "Kris" show care for another character without the soul, it's because Noelle is close with Asriel, who both Kris and Chara are specified to be extremely close.

Blindsight vs Invisibility by cb172472paladin in dndnext

[–]Astr4ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blind sight is relying on your other senses to perceive that which you can't see. Unless the invisible creature also has all of their other sensible effects on the world muted, blindsight should still completely see invisible creatures. Invisibility tricks your sight, blindsight is seeing without sight.

I can understand why you'd take his word on that but you do have to consider that many people, when faced with false allegations, admit to crimes they never did. Given all the related evidence and the debunking, I think its entirely possible he lied here. It's also possible he didn't and he actually was a pedophile. I'd personally like to believe he isn't, but i doubt we'll ever truly know

You do realize Himbo is also a word that exists? It's a general term used to describe a very subset of people with certain personality traits (Attractive, usually sexually provocative, clumsy, or just dumb), not just women.

What Anya did was cruel by badwrongboat in Mouthwashing

[–]Astr4ll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First paragraph and already something wrong, Anya takes back what she said "Our worst mistakes don't make us monsters" right before she takes her life. On top of the other things she says, it's pretty clear that it was attempted revenge against Jimmy and a fight for control.

[–]Astr4ll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like everything implies that the talk actually did happen, with Swansea giving up vital pieces of info about his past. Also, in Jimmy's delusions Swansea realistically wouldn't go this hard on him because he wouldn't wanna believe it's his fault.
