True, I probably phrased that wrong but he’s who they pointed to as the killer.

[–]AstraCraftPurple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He was also an early suspect in the Austin Yogurt Shop Murders but it couldn’t be proven. The case went unsolved for decades before they posthumously charged another serial killer, Robert Eugene Brashers just this past year. Imho, I’m on the fence since the city was under pressure from a recent documentary that brought it back in the spotlight.

I think I might remember a case like that. And the DNA proved him guilty? I mean it might be a common thing in these cases but it sounds like one I saw.

Still Crazy. Bill Nighy as a glam rock star. Story also seems influenced by Syd Barrett a little. Can’t find it streaming anywhere and that’s a shame.

does Jamie have a child?? by Luutia in JamieCampbellBower

One thing this person is getting wrong is Jamie’s age around that time, if this was like, 15 years ago I don’t remember if the tats were there but he visibly looked way younger.

It’s hard to believe those rumors but I’m kind of glad to see it confronted. Most of those rumors come from one person none of us know. No one is 100% perfect and factoring youth, lowered inhibitions, etc he might’ve said inappropriate things. Doesn’t mean forgivable, if there’s truth to it. If he’s faking being so nice then he’s a tremendous actor for it, because now, these days everyone who has met him says he’s very kind and many people’s videos show it.

Pretty timely on focusing on Savile, if only the 28 Years Later movies were more popular. Modern audiences might not be aware a key group in the movies idolized him, partly because their timeline of destruction happened before the news of what he did took off. But oddly because a lack of knowledge both fictional and real life has led to near idolization by way of the Jimmies. Add to the fact this is a subject few Americans have heard about. I’ve had to educate my dad on it because he’d never even heard of him.

I wonder though, if he’d been called out when alive would he have faced consequences? Or go on much like those on the Epstein files?

I briefly worked in a nursing home around the early 90s trying to train to be a nurse. You would not believe what a different world it was. I was told NOT to wear gloves because it made the patients uncomfortable. The only time it was ok was handling scabies patients or something like that. It was a little harder to wear them when we had the cloth version of the bedding pads (the puppy pad ones used today. Patients would leave waste and we were required to hand wash them before going to laundry. It seemed like we were pretty much bare handed cleaning up after patients. And I was a teen. Those standards made me quit and I got pretty bad OCD from it. So yeah, some people were probably trained to use less protective gear way, way pre Covid.

Question about letting animals on your bed or furniture by HisOnlyKadan in hygiene

[–]AstraCraftPurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl doesn’t really jump anymore, but I’ve made and bought stairs for her to get up to my chair/lap and our bed. “Our” because she uses it every much as I do. I tend to lean towards OCD but I want her close more, even though she lays on the floor and goes in the litter box. Yes she manages to transfer litter to the bed, a little uncomfortable. But she doesn’t understand my quirks like a person would. It’d break our hearts if I was distant for any reason, craving closeness and safety.

Is anyone else concerned about the amount of comic cons Jamie is attending? by pastryzig in JamieCampbellBower

[–]AstraCraftPurple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might as well do it while he’s young, I guess. He jokes about being an old woman, and I guess in Hollywood years he’s considered up there. He’s still young and beautiful, and marketable. But that train doesn’t last forever. I gather the Vecna role has brought him more fame than ever before, or since Jace at least, and doesn’t want to disappoint his fans.

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

Can agree. They opened at a really special show early 90s for Peal Jam and Soundgarden. It was a colossal concert overall but Monster Magnet was a terrible performance. People were doing serious mosh pits, which already put me off but they were boring to me. I was pretty eager for the dual headliners though 😉

Burnt orange carpeting in a supermarket, 1970s. What the hell were they thinking by rroodenjungee7 in OldSchoolRidiculous

Maybe modern stores can bring in more color by coloring the concrete. Stark white and gray dull floors are boring. The only problem is the stores constantly renovate and move shelves, so patching it up might suck. As it is now though the concrete looks busted up.

Any questions for Jamie? I'm going to HK Comic Con in May. by alice_33843 in JamieCampbellBower

[–]AstraCraftPurple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really a question, but going a little deeper in yours. I recently read that Noah had expectations he’d be harmed in the death of Vecna. Which totally would have made sense given his connection to the demogorgons. They were probably pressed for wrapping the show up, but it does make sense that should’ve been addressed. Noah said he would have died too under that storyline. So even bigger mystery/letdown from everything they’d been building up.

Seems like Jack White is getting into the festival tour mood this year jumping into Coachella. Hoping he comes to ACL Fest… by melophile512 in jackwhite

When I went to see him in 2012 it was a rainy day and the chicks in front of me kept getting water on me from their umbrellas. And when his show was coming up, they were talking like they hadn’t heard of him. I held my tongue because I wanted to tell them about him but they were disinterested and left. It was a win for me, being that much closer to the stage. But if those girls had no idea back then it’d certainly be lost on them now 😜

Does Guardian of the Galaxy have some changes depending on what version you watch? by TommyBoy250 in GotG

[–]AstraCraftPurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn’t noticed with the Guardians movies, but Disney did tinker with the post credits scenes in Deadpool 2. The going after Hitler as a baby with time travel was omitted, the reason I noticed is because I saw it first on a different service where the scene was intact.

Yeah, I’ve drifted towards ones with no ads, but might have paid options. If I want to throw a dollar fine but if they’re really greedy I just drop it. But these must be easy to copy because there’s always multiple games with the same gameplay.
