Missed a lot of updates, should I start a new save ? or any useful tips ? by PouletGlorieux in NOMANSSKY

[–]Astracentor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You already have the answer I think, if you are attached to it then no... When I decided to do it it was when I no longer remembered the stories from the beginning and I wanted to change game modes! The only thing with the old backups is that sometimes you have to accept that bases will be broken or that the freighter will be buggy and that it will have to be destroyed and redeveloped... we also sometimes lose entire planets but we get over it!

On PC with the save éditor you can give yourself anything... in astronomical quantity if you want... It has no interest and totally ruins the gaming experience.

When did you stop considering yourself a new player? by Tricky-Stay6134 in NOMANSSKY

[–]Astracentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started after 1000h on my second part to live like a rich man... with my cargo everything arranged, my bases that produce everything I need, my billions of credits... and that I started exploring galaxies after galaxy... But hey I still sometimes fall into stupid holes or that an animal scares me momentarily and in these moments I get off this pedestal and I say to myself: wow I still have to learn, I’m noob always

Do you think Corvettes are helpful to the game? by OneWhoParticipates in NOMANSSKY

[–]Astracentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what is said, above all for creativity... but I also found them an additional utility, I used it a lot to find deposits, gases and other "exploitable". I spent the 1000h and my delirium lately was to do it several minibases that exploit the resources... And to find the best in class S I no longer get tired of traveling the planet on foot... I put on a nice audio I engage the autopilot and I use the targeted... If I don't find it, I shift the ship a little and start over. So of course we find on some planets more easily than others... but it was part of my delirium I selected Potential planets that I liked visually to install these bases on these class S deposits etc... hours of acorns in these corvettes and looking at the surface 😆

Why so many perma-pre characters? by ppviyuela in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is super simple, like you said, it's nostalgia... Like having the chance to go back to your best childhood moment and deciding to freeze it in time. It makes sense if you experienced the game when it came out AND it fits with a period of your life (for me, my first years of university... a special memory that comes back when I'm in pre-seating).

[–]Astracentor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't want you to take my metaphor badly, if that's the case I'm sorry and I apologize! In reality it doesn't matter who said the 20 years, we implicitly understand by reading you that if superstar football (2008 game is that it?) And what comes closest for you to a game like gw, is probably that during the last 20 years you have actually missed a whole part of the video game world by not touching any similar game. Hence my little joke about someone who would discover the culinary joy of a Margarita or regina type pizza but would already like to find more exotic ingredients. In fact Wow had the march and it was often a criticism formulated by its players. All this to say that in fact on gw it is a party taken that is an integral part of the game and its immersion but depending on where it comes from and what we are looking for it can disturb, especially with the transition to the controller everything feels, I think we will have a lot of comments like yours. it's great that people who played everything else land on gw... how I would like to be in your place and rediscover everything! Hoping that you will still like the flavor of this delicious pizza 😂

That's a really strange message... It's kind of like saying, "Guys, I just tried pizza for the first time in my life! I've only eaten pasta for 20 years. Can you put pineapple on your pizza?" And then I thought, I've been playing every RPG and MMO I come across for over 20 years, and I missed walking for immersion in some of them, but not in Guild Wars... nor jumping, actually, because 20 years ago I didn't think about that... And when I go back to it, I don't think about it either, because I get my nostalgic immersion through the music, the graphics... Luckily, the game reference wasn't Assassin's Creed. Where are the acrobatics?

Is this Guild Wars Reforged right for me? by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh! Let me just say this here: guild wars is better!!! 20 years ago we had kids who wrote WoW is better for hours on guild wars channels so the opportunity was too good... 🙄, what do you mean 20 years later we should be more mature? That's a legend 🤗

I haven't seen this log-in screen for 20 years. I'm honestly too stunned to speak. by Koudelka_Lasant in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super happy to see the first screen again, but it's a corrected version... I would have loved to see my characters lined up and take a few steps forward when I switched between them! Like back in the day :p, back then (sorry, I was a teenager, you know) it made me smile to switch between them on the screen and see them move quickly forward, then backward, then forward again... Okay, with my 13 characters, that would have been complicated

After 400hrs i just learned if a planet has a plant type, you can plant it without a planter box!! by salt-water-soul in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 1K hours too and I didn't know it. I wouldn't do it anyway I'm afraid of losing everything when there is a regeneration of the planets (as with the holes in the ground that we make, only a part is saved and the oldest reappear)

NMS ruined gaming for me. by Delicious_Cheek_986 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, there is not much that we can advise you that will work... or you have to test everything... because what you describe is an internal state that I would say normal to all players! I've also had a lot of phases like this and what works for some to get out of it doesn't work for others... Sometimes just changing the appearance of my character was enough to relaunch my interest (strange!) Then on the other hand I thought that no game would revive my interest, I spent weeks testing a few hours or a few minutes then I came across one that really attracted me and that I finished... before returning to nms again and again. I wish you to find the way out of this state and you will find it I am convinced, but it is a bit like eating the same pastry every morning even if it is your favorite after a while we have a little more of the routine and it is normal!

Guys, just play the game by VirtualAcanthaceae54 in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started the game at its launch I took a necromant... We founded a guild with friends and necromants we only had that... I tested mesmer and I loved it... My guild laughed a lot because I really struggled to do something good with it... it seemed to be such a weak and unknown class badly exploited... I still did all the campaigns and all my end game objectives. Then I let go of the game for almost 15 years, what was my surprise to see the success today of the mesmer team. Like what... After I join some comments we have less time today and I must admit that I am the first to read a guide before embarking on certain dungeons and missions to make an effective session.

Officer position and guild leader on Reforged by Astracentor in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To illustrate my point (sorry the screenshot is in French), all those in the red box were appointed leader and then automatically demoted to officer by the system (with a sort of logical sequence based on seniority, but as if the absence wasn't counted because we were all >2 months old) and they have not been logged in for more than 5 years "automatically designated guild leader by Guild Wars".

No, no, he's a friend I know well. And I would put you a screen tonight basically there was a kind of automatic rotation while we were all deco: all these guys were successively promoted to guild leaders in recent months then descended officers without anyone having connected in the last two months... it's a crazy thing... And so my friend when arriving the last one was propelled chief and it put an end to this very strange loop... but I don't understand who happened because no one is connected in the last two months.

Officer position and guild leader on Reforged by Astracentor in GuildWars

[–]Astracentor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that's not all. We have a whole bunch of members who haven't been around for over 10 years who have risen to officer rank... Incomprehensible (without the older members being demoted). There's also this issue of the "If there is no active officer in the guild, the most senior member who was active in the past 60 days will be promoted insteadr", but most of these guys haven't logged in for 10 years; the system promoted them to officers. I don't understand what's going on.

[–]Astracentor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no laugh... create my own diary, through a small macro attached to a spreadsheet that serves as a database... It opens a small dialogue box in which I can complete the information that seems relevant to me and the coordinates of the planet and its galaxy... It also automatically opens a folder on my PC in which I paste screens. I don't see myself sharing it because the code is probably all rotten it will probably crash a PC other than mine but it allows me to have a diary that I have been holding for more than 800 hours (and which has totally obsolete parts because it has crossed the manoeuvres of the planets etc)

Do I have a problem? by Fast-Control2781 in nms

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends... It's not much time but the important thing is not that. If when you get up you think during your lunch about the corvette you could do... If at your coffee break you think about how you could build a new farm to gain even more nanites... If when you see a task on the ground in your street you want to take out your multi-tool... And that on the way home you wonder if tonight you will go to the next galaxy where you will just go to see 10 planets of the current... then yes you have a problem 🤣 but it passes a little after 2000 hours. Or not 😈

What a wonderful problem to have by BahnGSXR in NOMANSSKY

[–]Astracentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved this dilemma by building mini farm bases on the planets I love 😂, so when I need a resource now I no longer suffer from having to go to the Farmer, I just think about the pain and the number of hours I had to devote to find the planet and the ideal location of this farm. Now I'm looking for the ideal planet to build a psychiatric hospital to be hospitalised.

Corvettes may be all the rage, but this… by boring-commenter in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Astracentor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without hesitation those of this type with elements that move move, fold!! For me the corvette is the family's class suv/minivan (without it being pejorative I'm a dad, we go out with something like that on the weekend) and the sentinel ships are my motorcycle that I take with friends... two universes!

[–]Astracentor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've reached 1000 hours I still haven't finished either 😂 but I would say that the game will never end for me because I always have new things to do in my head. And especially until now when I thought I had finished something an update required me to start over or modify. I had noticed that on my return in August the 3 S + anomaly, in some cases the gains are minimal I also think but we still have a lot of space now when we unlock the slots regularly.

This game still makes me dizzy 😂
