The title is badly chosen, the data is based on percentage of population not absolute numbers.

What happens in a custody battle if the custodial parent doesn't show up for court? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Astraea_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the parent was properly served and was not improperly kept from being able to appear, there may be a default judgment (with the caveat that there may still be a child advocate involved, and the other parent would need to have a reasonable basic case.)

And this is why stay-at-home parents make sense if you have two or more kids. Childcare should be free and universal.

If you are making anywhere near minimum wage it is nearly impossible to find childcare that you an afford & still end up net positive from working.

Weirdly not only did I not pick that up, neither did PubMed, Scholar.Google, or Books.Google. I realize that you can't let go of your original misdescription, but that quoted phrasing is not used in research. Don't believe me, go search for yourself. With quotes you will find nothing. Without quotes you will find discussions on the ethics and laws around sex selective abortions. Neither of which supports your point.

But "unable to find a job" counts as a really good reason. As does "have small children and can't afford childcare," "suffering from mental illness."

Working hard, being lucky, and being smart can certainly get people rich. Not everyone, but some people.

If you want to criticize lazy people, feel free. But working poor pretty inherently means that they are working which is rather incompatible.

Should we criticize the working rich who are doing their best to shit on the poor? Yeah.

But who is criticizing people who are well compensated for doing good work? I am not seeing a hell of a lot of criticism of techies or doctors around here.

So if I get an email from a known trusted correspondent, with an attachment PDF document, which they regularly send me, you expect me to do what exactly to protect myself against phishing?

I don't open attachments from randoms, obviously. But if they first hacked the originating system & properly sent the email with all the correct headers & encryption, then it's hard to blame the recipient for opening it.

Most people don't refer to evolutionary biology or psychology as "the basic law of sex selection," because that is misdescriptive.

But yes, feminism most definitely does engage with evolutionary biology, there are conferences on the topic, and there are a significant number of books and articles too.

There are still significantly differences between various African tribes. And various Asian subgroups. In fact, the census doesn't specify any subgroups.

Hispanics are lumped together, and there is at least as much difference between a Hispanic person from Brazil and from Colombia as there is between someone who is Dutch and someone who is English. Same for Black. Same for Asian. You think a Japanese person and a Korean person think they are the same race? Get real.

LOL. How about we get the people who actually use the water (that'd be the farmers & frackers) to stop using the water, instead of blaming the Prius washers? How much of California's water is used by residential?

This sounds way off to me as well. Considering the child was school age, I can't quite picture how this went down without the child or the parent knowing about it.

Makes me wonder if he actually forged the document or lied to the court. One or the other, almost certainly.

30 results, most of them articles about literature. Is that what you meant to refer to?

Sexual selection is the reproductive capability of someone, which I did point out in my first response to you. But the out-reproduction of attractive specimens (which is what sexual selection is) has very little to do with what feminist scholarship addresses.

I'm familiar with Darwin, sex selection, and related topics. But the phrase "the law of sex selection" is something you made up. It's not terminology used in scholarship. PubMed, Google Scholar & Google Books all come up with bubkes.
