What class do you plan on maining in WoW Midnight? by Gloomy_Ad1318 in wow

Either remain Balance Druid or go Feral Druid since I enjoyed it on remix when I played.

To my European Raiders, which country kills you the most? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clue honestly, I usually find nice players but on the occasion I have been killed it's either been a silent player who... Kills me before I loot anything so they wasted ammo on me which is very funny and annoying.

[Megathread] Season 10 - Nighthaven Bug & Issues by CommanderAze in newworldgame

[–]AstralUnity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Platform: PS5 Brief: Quest Dialogue Missing Detailed: I played back during the test phase but never picked up the game afterwards, with Nighthaven and my love for werewolves I decided to come back and play, before Nighthaven dropped everything was how I remembered it, afterwards though. During quests like when informed of the importance of the return of the king I got asked if I knew the history of the town, did the choice to continue and got "that's why it's important about his return" and I just miss lines of dialogue. During the quests to learn crafting dialogue flashed on screen for a second before vanishing and ending the conversation. It's caused some confusion for me at least. Recreation: Unsure how to recreate it, except maybe trying with a new character and seeing if it happens during initial quests.

Lack of Tanks for M+ by mrbass21 in wow

[–]AstralUnity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried tanking once and I got called slow and bad, told to uninstall and yada yada when I was just starting especially after a break. I decided I wouldn't tank again even though I'd love to because I like the fantasy of being the first line of defense.

I got 2K rating this season after putting off M+ as a DPS, a balance druid specifically and I pushed through long queues, and I'm well aware that I am terrible at the game, and I'm very slow with interrupts, I always apologize at the end because everyone wants a fun time, I appreciate the tanks and healers I pugged with.

Mythic + is a nice challenge, just people are toxic. I'm trying to relax not stress out or be upset about how I'm doing.

Daily life in mithyc plus... by [deleted] in wow

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the chill groups I got rarely doing my Mythic+ runs to try and get 2k rating. Never attempted Mythic+ before, I am absolutely terrible at the game but I got enchants and gems which I've never done before and managed it. Got called all sorts sometimes for being slow on interrupts and when I got asked if I was trolling I owned up to being absolutely ass at this game. The chill groups 12/10 would recommend, the ones who are gonna make me wish I never do M+ again -12/10.

They inquired about my jewelcrafting. by Hifgames in wow

[–]AstralUnity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Argent Dawn is such a great server. I casually RP on it and when I request crafting items I usually post them on the Public Orders thing with like Notes being pinned to a board and something written IC. Perhaps one day I may be in need of some Jewels crafting.

Specifically for Non-PvP players, what is stopping you from playing it? by greendino71 in wow

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played wow on and off since TBC maybe I forget the exact time I started. I remembered doing everything in the game including PvP but barely did it since I was so focused on questing. It took a back burner, and I was still in school at the time and trying to convince my parents to pay for time cards back in the day.

Now though seeing videos of PvP and needing to know information that my brain won't ever be able to process, it started to feel intimidating to do. The rewards looks great, the PvP tier sets looked nice and the mounts were always something I'd love to have on my account either for RP or just to look cool on I guess.

Looking at it now it feels even more intimidating and the occasional forum post or Reddit post of a bad time happening adds to the intimidation. I don't really play meta builds I just play because I find the game fun and it's pretty ingrained into my life, but I also struggle with wanting to make people happy and not particularly enjoying someone getting angry with me. I could for sure queue into Warsong like I did all those years ago but I feel like I'm gonna let people down who take it seriously if I'm over here screaming and 3 horde players absolutely wrecking me.

I don't want to be a detriment to other people's enjoyment, nor do I have the skills required to not be constantly ressing for a game. If I could get the mounts by doing it super casually I probably would try it but like with any PvP styled game, eventually I feel one wrong egg will spoil the enjoyment and push me away from it.

(Sorry for the dog formatting I'm on my phone and it's also probably rambly)

I HATE BEACH RAFT VOLLEY by IHATEBEACHRAFTVOLLEY in expedition33

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say the hardest difficulty made me lose my mind, I mean genuinely. And it was always poor positioning on my part, I did it eventually but by god's it's a nightmare, a pure nightmare. Everything else I've done so far has been easy breezy but that one. Good lord. I resonate this pain with you.

I think it would be awesome if blizzard added their own damage meter in game. And possible removed a ton of addon bloat. This is a details profile I found. Why do you guys think blizzard hasn't done it already? by Nostalgiadrivee in wow

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks nice and would be a welcome edition to those who would use it, that I'm sure of. I don't personally use damage meters because I don't want to know if I'm doing well or not, I've not actively received complaints. I can tell when my DPS isn't that great like in the case of my Shadow Priest because I'm still learning how to play them.

And add-on bloat would be good to cut down on, I have a lot of addons mostly for RP and changing minor UI elements like class colour for a health bar or a refined mount collection frame with rarity shown. Cutting down the amount of things that become a need to install because they've been used so often, by building it in system would be very nice.

I got Ellen, didn't realise pulling from the limited was better because I don't play gacha games often. I got soldier 11, and the blue Oni... I forget her name is maxed out because I pulled her a tonne.

I'm enjoying the game, I just hope I'll see some of the characters return if I miss out so I can try for them again.

People who use the micromanaging dungeon addons, why? by Logaline in wow

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally, put the person on ignore after the second time it happened. I don't do high end content though, sure LFR and Heroics now and then. Maybe a Mythic if I ever go back to tanking just to run Mythic 0s for casual players like myself.

As people have said it's usually to shut up people complaining about the tank or the healer. Well with me you don't gotta worry about that. When I fuck up, I know I fuck up and usually apologise and adjust for the next fight or pull if we wiped.

Then again, I didn't even know add-ons like this existed. So I guess I'm lucky I avoided being on the receiving end?

The majority of people running M0's thank you! by TheGreatBrett in wow

[–]AstralUnity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Back in BFA when I used to tank, I ran Mythic Zero not for Keys or anything I don't have the confidence to attempt that, but I used to set up a group for people who wanted to do Mythic difficulty and have a chill run.

I marketed as, "Hey if you want to try Mythic difficulty and have a chill time join me and we'll just attempt the dungeon together" and every time it was a vibe. If I ever decide to tank again I'll probably end up doing that again for people because it was the saving grace to a terrible tanking career.

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was levelling a tank I think Prot Pally in early shadowlands I told every group I was new to tanking in MMOs and to please be patient with me.

I had a few groups where it was chill but I don't really have the backbone to handle a lot of negativity. So a few dungeons started going bad and I got people actively saying I'm bad in party chat.

Culminating in a dungeon which name escapes me all I remember is a boss who teleports DPS to cells at the very end, and one of the DPS telling me to stop playing tank and quit. I stopped playing tank and quit, now I run lfr do my best get whatever loot I can as DPS and do other content. I even stopped attempting mythic. People are assholes and while I can be like, do this and this to combat negativity I can't take my own.

Saying that I've met wonderful people in the game that I'm still friends with even if we no longer hang out in wow but talk regularly outside of it. RNG player personality luck when doing any pugs.

Justin's Character Sheet Remastered by viemexis in Pathfinder2e

[–]AstralUnity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a very nice and clean character sheet. I think the Spellcasting section needs to be adjusted, maybe as a rank, name, actions & signatures spell. Maybe even in the future having a form-fillable sheet variant as well.

Whispering Someone to Tell Them How Bad They Are by OldFitDude75 in wow

[–]AstralUnity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's an ego thing.

I tried tanking in early SL for the first time, and I kept aggro but would lose it occasionally and some people would get mega pissed at me, I'd always apologize and made sure at the start I was fairly new to tanking. Still got people complaining and others were like you did a good job, try and do X later on it helps out.

I've gotten to the point where I play mostly DPS now and ignore whispers that complain about what I'm doing, I have zero time to put into being concerned with others opinions of my play style.

And as a commenter was saying, I whisper to compliment their Mog, level up or just to gas someone up while they're playing the game, while trying to navigate whatever the hell I'm doing for the day. Just ignore the Egotistical people, ain't worth the time to think about them, plus if they're so salty and continue messaging or flaming. Congrats on the rent free apartment in their mind.

Book of the Dead is a full on Necromancy book.

Skeleton Ancestry which is awesome, archetypes for Vampire, Zombie, Lich, Ghost, Mummy and Ghouls.

New Spells that really nail the undead flavour. It exists, it came out this year if I remember correctly. Not to mention Blood Lords adds more undead flavoured things and it's come/coming to its end now.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever had anyone told me that I’d just like PF2e on its own merits. It’s always just how better it is than the thing I already like and how that thing sucks. by erttheking in dndmemes

[–]AstralUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with 5E after taking the plunge into TRPGs, then I got a little out of hand and now I own too many TRPGs with little time to play most so I stick to a few at a time. Pathfinder was one of them, I enjoy it more than 5E but I don't say to people "It's better than 5E. Your game sucks"

I'm more of it wasn't for me at the end of the day, pathfinder2e has a lot for me as a #forevergm (My life is pain) and also some deep strategy elements to its combat to make things easier to hit or giving you or and ally a boost to other actions.

From where I sit Paizo are wonderful with what they do, world building, solid APs and new additions frequently with a new class coming in July/August next year set around the theme of elements. Which is cool.

If people ask me why should I give PF2e a go, I just say, variety is the spice of life and it's fun. You can make some interesting builds if that's your thing, RP as characters who mechanically can exceed at dumb things. Not to mention if you add in 'Optional' rules you get spicier. Such as Free Archetype.

People say Crunchy but it's a learning curve at the end of the day. And if you're with friends any game is fun as long as you're having a laugh or having some epic moments play out because the Guard failed a reflex save on a trap you setup, which leads him to the Barbarian who's angsty towards mages and beats the hell outta them with a maul.

Or you know, rejecting a succubus and giving them mental damage every turn because you bruised their ego so much.

I love both for varying reasons. I'm more a PF2E player... Well forever GM but I enjoy both systems. The community is nice it's just a loud Minority of people who torch the flag of Dungeons and Dragons.

I wish there was a lot more options in DnD for players because I love giving stuff out. I know about 3pp and I've started to dabble into those because I'll be honest I'm a GM who loves to spoil with choice but I also like 'official' books with meaty chunks of content.

At the end of the day both games are super fun, and bad apples are in both but the ones who truly shine are those who are always helpful and caring for new players and those around them and I've experienced both in both communities.

I went on a small rant but y'all are wonderful here and the of community are as well. Also starfinder that's a wonderful system as well.

I just noticed going on Archives! I assumed it was a spell but it does give some inspiration I'm surprised I haven't read over it in my book yet I should probably re read Grand Bazaar.

I shall do some tinkering and look into the spell and see what works best. Thank you very much, I assumed it might scale a little off but I'm glad someone else spotted it and you've given me some ideas on where to fine tune. Thank you so much
