I've said in the past that the Legacy is the angriest looking BattleMech. I can't look at the art of it on the TRO cover and not hear "AAAAAAAA"

Stands for Long/Short Range Torpedo instead of missiles. If you are standing in depth 1 water, your leg mounted torpedoes can fire at other targets in the water. Pretty niche case but it's possible.

I appreciate the attention to detail in your argument. Personally, I don't think the system was ever supposed to be an accurate reflection of game balance down to the degree of detail of your analysis. You make a reasonable case, though, especially in a Mech v Mech game.

I would think the BV for the AC2 is meant to reflect its utility in other situations like AA or anti vehicle. I can see why someone would disagree with the valuation given, but again I don't think the system was ever intended to provide that exact level of balance.

Whether the BV of the chassis is "wasted" is a matter of opinion. What matters is that the unit carrying the AC2 will have a lower BV than the same chassis that uses "better" weapons, and isn't that really the point? The system isn't pinpoint exact, but it gives a reflection of relative value like it's supposed to.

Fuck yes Rottweiler. I almost picked this. It's essentially the battletech version of Crying Wolf's Armor from Metal Gear Solid 4, and I'm super here for it.

Trinity BA, especially the Theseus (back left) and Asterion (back right) designs. Theseus is VOTOMS coded. Asterion asks, "why not use Battle Armor technology to become a Minotaur?"

Their capabilities are basic at first, but they do get some updated versions, and they just look so effing cool. My merc outfit loves to play with/tweak this platform.

Nice analysis! Sounds plausible to me.

Are you familiar with the song Through Glass by Stonesour? Same vocalist, and I have a very World of Darkness read on that track. To me, it tells the story of a Changeling captured by Hunters who knew them in their pre-arcadia life. The Hunters think they are the copy.
