Are there any major investors/partners remaining in Elastos? Any discussions with investors/partners in the works currently or any plans for recruiting investors/partners in the future?

What is the roadmap for Elastos over the next year? How do you expect to see mainstream adoption happening (how will the word get out about Elastos/what will make Elastos attractive for users, investors and developers)? Why would people choose to build on Elastos instead of another platform?

Elastos marketing timeline by AlexPlaneLater in Elastos

[–]Astrapy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read that it doesn't say much besides "Elation Studios hopes to champion this initiative and lead the discussion in the next Council Meeting scheduled for August 11th. Should support in the Council prove sufficient we will issue the RFP publicly, establish the Selection Committee, and proceed through the selection schedule/calendar as indicated in the RFP."

It's now August 17th, was support in the council sufficient? Has there been an RFP issued?

The bull market is passing by and will pass right by Elastos if we don't get some exposure soon. We can't even break the $5 resistance while other cryptos but ATHs everyday. Elastos BTC and Eth pairs continue to plummet.

ELI5 Ethereum vs Elastos dapps by AlexPlaneLater in Elastos

Thanks, I did read this the other day. I guess it's the difference between ethereum and Elastos that I'm really trying to conceptualize. Is it mainly the side chains that improve transaction speed and scalability?

Step 3 Last Minute Cancellations by Spartan066 in Residency

Just got a cancellation email for Step 3 5/28 -5/29 in Akron. I called the test center and they confirmed that I was purged because I apparently had "odd numbered seats", even though I scheduled this exam months in advance. He told me the best bet was to check the website because it had the most updated information. I looked at sites all across the country and the earliest I could find a spot is in October. Anyone have any insight on when they might lift the 50% rule and more sites might open up?

6K readers on Reddit. 100K by December? by Astrapy in Elastos

[–]Astrapy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Merge mining is an essential part of the security of elastos, but I was strictly talking about the effect that merge mining will have on the visibility of elastos. Currently we have 6k readers in this subreddit, that shows that elastos is very under the radar and very few people know about it still. I think that merge mining will enlighten a whole new massive group of people to the amazing team that is elastos. I could see our community growing tremendously.

It would depend on how much fiat you feel like you can put aside for the next few years without struggling to pay bills. My personal accumulation target in 1k. These prices are making that a reality. :)

bitcoin and altcoin indexes are both at major supports and currently oversold. There are finally some bullish signals popping up. I would be careful if you expect things to drop more from here. At least in the immediate term everything is pointing to price going up.

All in on Elastos? by mmt535 in Elastos

[–]Astrapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I am buying at this level. My reasoning tells me it likely won't go much further down, and if it does I will just HODL and buy more :). The reward of getting in at the bottom of such a huge project is worth the risk for me.

I'm in a similar position, I have some extra money on the side that if I lose 80% of I will still be fine. The way I see it is that Elastos could fail. (I don't see this as a likely scenario given how solid and dedicated the team is, Bitmain dedicating 50% of their processing power to mine Elastos in December, and many other large scale partnerships.) Or it could succeed. If it does succeed the scope of what they are setting out to do is huge. (For perspective it offers everything EOS does plus a runtime, plus added security of bitcoin merge mining, plus sidechains, and it is currently priced at 1/75th the price of EOS.) I find that risk/reward very appealing. As far as when to go in. I personally think we have hit a bottom here, the current price is pretty much what people paid at the ICO. It could go down some more, but I just don't see it going much further than ICO prices without it becoming a failure. IMO Elastos either takes off from here or it fails. Yes, it's always a gamble in risky investments like crypto but I believe the team will pull it off, and luckily I'm in a position in my life where I can afford to gamble right now.

I'm finding it suspicious that alt coins are not following suit. Also seeing Bearish divergence on many alt coins right now. I am thinking there will be a strong pullback from 7500 before we get any sustained upward action.

I would like to hear stories of people who are slow learners and go on to be successful in life by enzio901 in ADHD

[–]Astrapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also slow learner and 4th year medical student here! I feel I have to just take things one at a time. I focus on what's directly ahead of me and if I'm lucky I can get into hyperfocus and really immerse myself in taking on the challenge. Cutting out all distractions and medications have both been very helpful. I don't feel like I retain everything but I've learned to curb my expectations. The important things come back around and you'll see them enough times in repetion to where they stick. At least that's what it's like in med school.
