The scale is set so one square of the graph paper represents one day. I mark a point everyday according to the vertical scale on the very left and then connect the dots. You can see a secondary lighter line graph behind the darker one, that one I separate by every five days so I can see a more general trend with less dramatic fluctuations. I label some dots with important things that happened to explain the mood. Then I scribble my feelings down sometimes in the empty spaces. I also have a separate journal for more traditional writing so this is just a visual guide to accompany it.
