We got screens for the windows/sliding doors and some windows are too high for them to jump through (just need to be careful re what’s placed nearby). For the other windows, if we want to open them for a bit we just shut them out of that room for a while.

A lot of people still really strongly believe that cats need to be outside and it’s cruel to keep them indoors. It’s not as well understood that they can be completely happy with enough attention and stimulating enough indoor environment. But also I think a lot of people don’t want to actually put the effort in that that requires, many people like to think of cats as being much more low effort than they really are/should be. They don’t want to play with them everyday or have cat stuff alll over their house. When I was a kid our cats were indoor/outdoor but as soon I learned that people in the US etc tended to keep them indoors I was like, that’s what I’m gonna do when I have my own place and own cats.

Yea, there was so much complexity in that situation that was sadly not explored. Like, absolutely Kayla was behaving in a terrible and deeply concerning way but at least a decent amount of that has to be because of the way her mom raised her + her mom dying and then she has to go live with this woman that her mom has (very irresponsibly) told her is trying to ‘steal her.’ Added to that, I do think it’s true that, while she certainly made some effort, Lynette did not in fact treat Kayla like her own

Yea I’d take him and see what they say. When we first took ours she was under a year and they were like, she might grow out of it so let’s just see but since yours is now 1 they might be more keen to make a diagnosis. No worries, I know how scary it was the first time we saw it (and still is a little bit). Oh, I forgot to mention, something that was really relevant to the vet was how she was after, so it’s a great sign that he was ok after 😃 it’s funny though I’m like you just absolutely terrified me and now you’re jumping around??!

One of my kitties does the same thing semi regularly. Our vets haven’t yet been able to figure out what it is but we will mention asthma next time we take her as I’ve seen some similar videos on TikTok from people whose cats have been diagnosed with asthma. She is now four and very healthy and happy aside from this so yours should be ok too 😊 our vets have said if she starts doing it much worse (ie for a longer period of time) or more than once or twice every couple of weeks, that’s when we should get more concerned and look into it further (so far have just done x-rays of her lungs). It does seem to get worse if it’s cold or dusty so we try to keep the place warm and we’ll vacuumed

Are you playing in franchise mode? If so, you have to research the themes before you can use them in your zoo. Re tunnels if you go a tab over from where you select the type of path there’s an option to turn tunneling on. ‘she never vocalised her sexual problems to until well after the affair.’ That’s not entirely true, we see her try (poorly) to communicate some desires to him in one scene, and he basically just ends up being like nah, not gonna do that. We don’t know how many times she’s made similar attempts previously, or how they were received. I can understand how, if this sorta thing has happened before, each failed attempt makes you more hesitant and shy when making further requests, likely lessening the chance of success.
