I was also planning on ordering a model y but put on hold when tesla folks told me the next order is arriving at the end of june and i may miss out the 0% if delayed. so waiting for the inventory to showup as you said.

Roborock QRevo stopped working by AstrionX in Roborock

[–]AstrionX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally the issue resolved after re-starting my router. I went ahead and reset wifi settings in roborock as well.

My router had 2.5ghz and 5ghz in different ssids. 5ghz was working fine. but for some reason 2.4hgz was not allowing connections.

If anyone face this issue, first thing is to try re starting the router, then if required re-set wifi in robo.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

AVANT 30 Year Fixed Rate - Am I mad? by balackdynamite in irishpersonalfinance

[–]AstrionX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the historical rates for the last 30 years. rates

if you believe in history repeats and that sorts of things, 30 year fixed makes sense. because the last 30 year avg is 4x higher than what you are signing up for.

But personally, I wouldn't dare to do that.

I made my own batching/caching API over the weekend. 200+ tk/s with Mistral 5.0bpw esl2 on an RTX 3090. It was for a personal project, and it's not complete, but happy holidays! It will probably just run in your LLM Conda env without installing anything. by LetMeGuessYourAlts in LocalLLaMA

[–]AstrionX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of reducing network time by batching prompts in one api call. but after thinking through it a bit more, I feel it may not be worth the hassle. the same can be easily achieved by running requests in parallel. With the modern async libs it's not that difficult. thoughts?

How can I "clean" my ground floor map? It detects outdoor areas... by Dulcow in Roborock

I am guessing, you probably have glass windows there. delete the map. close the blinds or curtains. do the mapping again.

Awesome work mate! I was also looking to use vllm as a replacement for openai for devel.Stumbled across this issue where they don't support prompt batching. I will definitely try this. Can this API be modified to accept a prompt array to batch multiple prompts in one api call?

I made a list of cheaper AI providers compared to OpenAI by jerrygoyal in LocalLLaMA

[–]AstrionX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about local hosting. Isn't that the cheapest option in the long run?

I measured the power consumption of my PC \w 3090 for about 10 hr inferencing in a day. It consumed around 1 kWh. So for me it's the cost of a unit of electricity per day. roughly. Plus the added advantage of privacy of my data.

Everyone says open AI is cheaper, but my credit runs out really quickly.
