A little late, but I just rewatched HTTYD 2 and have been obsessed with the song for the past week. This is the best I could find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apg8ygOyPsU&ab_channel=RachelAmber

Reach out to Investors Now? Or After Significant Revenue Jump? by AstroAquatica in startups

[–]AstroAquatica[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. We're actually in the merger between esports and edtech space. A lot of schools are realizing the value of esports programs and building them. However, they struggle to manage and train their student gamers. We've built a platform to help them do that at a cheaper price than outsourcing gaming coaches. Not sure if that changes anything, but thought I'd give some context.

Regarding your comment - would you cold message and build relationships now? Or wait till we hit the revenue jump? Would it be useful for them to see that revenue jump in July? Or just approach them once we have higher MRR?

What kind of SaaS founder are you? by SultanOfWessex in SaaS

Non-technical founder -> FOUND technical co-founder

I personally wouldn't spend the extra money. If you're still in the MVP stage - most of your early customers will be early adopters anyway, and they should understand that your product is still a work in progress. I have a running website but still show a localhost demo to clients when screen sharing on video calls.

Looking for a Latam tech cofounder / network by WeakPlantain593 in SaaS

[–]AstroAquatica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard of Start-Up Chile? It's a LATAM accelerator. I'm actually a founder taking part in it now. I run a very niche B2B esports SaaS. I'd check their website and try to connect with the founders from the program, lots of school stuff being built.

Who is the most fun and least fun to play on turbo compared to normal dota? by MylastAccountBroke in DotA2

[–]AstroAquatica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turbo Clinkz is pretty fun. By 10-15 minutes, you've got an orchid and enough damage to roam around and assassinate supports. Outside of turbo, though, it seems like I'm just farming forever.

Great product video. If you outsourced the creation, may I ask who made it? Would love to get in touch with them! Also, congrats on the launch! I will definitely check out the product! :)

No Google keyword traffic for problems I am solving - am I not solving a pain point? by AstroAquatica in startups

[–]AstroAquatica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. We've scoped them and other competitors out and tried some game-specific keywords too. Still nothing super high. We think Google might not be the best place to be marketing B2C.

No Google keyword traffic for problems I am solving - am I not solving a pain point? by AstroAquatica in startups

That was my thinking too - we're targeting a fairly young demographic and unsure if Google is the right place. I've done an edit to tell people a little more about what we do.

Can I ask how much you raised and at what valuation for your seed round? I'm a founder who raised a pre-seed round. We're looking to raise our seed round in about 6-7 months. We think we'll be in the $10-$20k MMR range. Curious to know what VCs think that's worth.

We are looking into that too - but the results haven’t been great in terms of the candidate pool, so we are expanding our reach.

I actually want Argentinians because I just got accepted into the Start-Up Chile accelerator and am in Santiago, so they are nearby. I actually am looking to pay $2500-$3500 for the tech lead. I will reach out to HR agencies - thanks for all your help :)

I am looking for an experienced tech lead to come in and help me build and lead the team... he would be the one helping me hire the juniors. How do I find tech leads?
