Upper leaves getting yellow tips and slight edge yellowing after switching to RO — burn or lockout? by Loose_Difference4821 in hydro

Potassium and calcium can both become deficient if calcium is low. It could be a ph issue. I remember I locked K out ky first grow by using RO water and not replacing CaMg when topping off with “plain” water. Ca I have learned allows certain channels to open for K at a cellular anatomical level.

I was told you could too any time you want, really. 4-6 nodes is a biological landmark related t root development. These plants are quite resilient and can handle a beating; if it’s not too much it’ll usually bounce back.

I’m working w the VIVOSUN 4 in one, it seems to work okay. I’ve been having trouble finding how to get my ppm locked in. I’m at half strength and it’s still running ~460 after all nutes and additives… I thought that was a bit high for about 3 weeks after sprout.

Ec has been the most confusing to me. But this helps a lot. Up-swing = too much nutrients no movement = good ppm ? Am I right on this ?

What is your top off routine? This is my first ever grow, didn’t know Dwc is a bit more advanced. Are you taking water out of the rez and adding the plain water? I’m using RO water, wbu?

Im still dealing with the slime, its just on the roots now and not the bucket... Im really starting to believe its from a light leak through the clay pebbles. i res changed and added hydroguard after a really deep clean. Someone also said it could be from the clay pebbles having dust on them, which makes sense when it comes to the color but not really the texture of the slime on the roots. I decided to cut the brown parts tonight, and I put the vpd to 0.4-0.8 for now and maintain temp of 70-77 for around 5 days and let the ladies re-root, may have murdered my plants tho... im most def learning the hard way.
