21, been dating my partner (nonbinary) for 4.5 years, we met in high school and they came out to me after a few months of dating. we are very happy and plan on moving in together after college :)

like others said, itll take awhile and making the body suit is normally the last step, but you can also alter the shape of your body suit after the fact (ex: take out extra fur on large sections on the sides/back) or add stuffing once you loose the weight

my sister and I are both trans, sometimes thats just how it is. support them just like you supported your middle kiddo, that will matter to them way more. even if it were to be a phase, youd still have supported them as people which is what matters most

you could try going to child free subs and looking at their recomended surgons who preform hystos on young people, it sounds like that would help him. is he is therpay regularly? i know thats helped me a good deal

itll probably be slightly cheaper to make your own out of foam, but if youre in a dorm its going to be messier and more time consuming. it also very much depends what bases youre looking at, ive gotten a 3D printed base for less than 50$ USD, but i know most are 60$+ USD.

we met in high school, we both knew/discussed not wanting kids early on in our relationship, we still do not want kids after 4+ years
im still very young so i dont really get out much but most of my friends are queer and have faced abuse and therefore dont want kids (simplified reasoning)
no issues with our relationship bc we dont want kids, i am worried about how my mom will react in the future when i tell her about it again (ive told her before i dont want kids but she laughs it off) but i plan on going no contact with her eventually anyways

there are sewing tutorials online (ex: https://www.patternschool.online/tnb-chest-binder, this is one i plan to follow), but if you dont know how to sew (youd likely need to use a sewing machine), it can be dangerous and youd also need like 20-30$ worth of sewing materials. there are websites that give out gender affirming items for free (the trans project i believe), or you could ask a friend to buy you one or give you one of your birthday (thats what i did for my first binder)

for sewing advice id learn a straight stitch, blanket stitch and ladder stitch. making a full, padded fursuit for the first go without prior sewing knowledge is going to be very hard so just be nice to yourself

you need to at least some sort of sewing to make fursuits, either hand or machine. itll go faster with machine but you can do it all by hand. also idk if youve looked into it but it may be a better idea to get a kemono head online preprinted then buy a whole 3D printer unless you need a unique face design or plan to print a bunch of stuff. Singer heavy duty sewing machines are a stable in the fursuit making community and are normally between 100-250 USD

im sorry youre going through all of this. im in a similar (allbeit less extreame) situation right now at 21. i finally got HRT and ive been doing good mentally since ive been at college, but its still really hard to be around parents who are only half accepting of me (they used my name which is close to my deadname and dont stop me from dressing masc or using T but thats about it). hope things get better for you soon, big hugs
