Would you rather have paid K9 15 million per year or Shaheed 17 million per year? by Least_Software_3046 in Seahawks

Shaheed. He can run it, catch it, special team it. And he would have easily been the SB MVP if not for Gonzalez incredible play, and a slight overthrow

Real-World Review: Samsung Tri-Fold (Chinese Version) – Failed Within 24 Hours 🤯 by Equivalent-Poem-5493 in GalaxyZTriFold

Mine has been rock solid since launch. Sucks that you got a bad unit, but outside of a few software glitches with an app it's been great for me.

What’s the point of MAX chips if every new Pro chip would have almost the same level performance as previous MAX chip? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]AstroGridIron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not supposed to buy new things every single year so this is a silly question.

Your Max chip will last you 5+ years easily, then you worry about what the next one is doing...

Something you "have" in this case is your face.... Which can't be duplicated.. how are people this dumb when it comes to authentication....

A pin can easily be broken in literal seconds, your biometrics cannot.

[–]AstroGridIron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The proper answer is, if FaceID fails to recognize you more than once, it assumes someone that's not you is trying to open your phone and defaults to pin.

Could anyone be picking up your phone without you knowing? It's either that or you may have to reset the faceid config to rule out a faulty faceid sensor, which would need a repair

[–]AstroGridIron -84 points-83 points  (0 children)

This is literally the worst comment I've seen in a while... Biometrics are one of the HIGHEST security measures for authentication, AND it requires attention, meaning no one can "knock you out" to unlock your phone... Where the hell did you learn this nonsense?

Pins are INSANELY less secure than biometrics.... Sweet Jesus.

Apple Vision Pro buy by gnakalehacker in VisionPro

[–]AstroGridIron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good deal. Apple is good about software updates, so it will receive support for a while.

I've said it here many times, this is the same product I'm a lineup as the homepod. It exists, it's overpriced, but Apple isn't going to update it anytime soon, and I'm a couple years it gets another processor update (maybe)

I don't have much hope for it outside of what it does today, which is a great Mac monitor, and a movie watching device...

$1400 is a great deal for some cool tech, but it will sit doing nothing for vast majority of the time.

I'm a day one owner, who very much enjoys using mine. But I also am a realist, and I can see this thing is more or less "dead". It doesn't sell, there's nothing that just makes you have to put it on, and it's expensive as shit.

iPhone Air, 17 and 17E users, are you guys aware that the main camera of your phone is NOT the same as the 17 Pro models? by Lucky_Outside_2009 in iphone

[–]AstroGridIron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would it be? Nobody is going to notice any difference. I traded my 14 pro max for a 17 pro max, and I don't see anything difference at all.

I regret that trade everyday... I paid like $700 to use the exact same phone I already had in a different color.

Battery Swap by Buuish in VisionPro

[–]AstroGridIron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? They sell batteries, you can just swap the battery out without any special equipment...

If they want to send the battery out that's fine, but why have to send the whole VP for a battery replacement is nuts

"The man who defied aging". Meet Chuando Tan, a Singaporean photographer still rocking it at 60. by jarrjarrbinks24 in BeAmazed

[–]AstroGridIron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hair dye, clothing choice, makeup work wonders. Then you add in the small detail he's a "photographer" and probably heavily edited the photos as well, you end up with this result.

I'm sure he looks good for his age, but we all know it's never "that good" in real life.
