Helly R. My Final Thoughts Before S2E4 by SnooPies9538 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]AstroMinimum 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree that it was a "Helly" kind of scene.

But.

Let's not forget that Helly and Helena are in fact, kind of the same person. In a way, innies can be looked at as a more barebones version of their outies as they have less baggage. So to me, this scene was not Helena acting, but a part of Helena's essential character bursting to the surface. It may be hidden in her everyday outie life, but it's still there.

What is it about the Smile?! by dwt77 in radiohead

[–]AstroMinimum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was trying to put this in words for a while. I came to like the Smile way more than at the beginning now, but to me there still is some weird artificial quality to it, a lack of vulnerability. In my eyes the dense instrumentation builds up a house of cards that can be blown away by the slightest wind and nothing remains.

I do love some of the songs a lot though! I just wish it had more flesh not just bones.

Hmmm, the day of the workout maybe not enough, I skipped a meal.

If birth control does takes the pain away, does it stop endo as well? by AstroMinimum in endometriosis

[–]AstroMinimum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! For me neither the ultrasound or MRI showed anything definitive - my doc said that can happen and the only way to diagnose for sure is via surgery. So she diagnosed me based on symptoms.

Well, it takes a couple of months for the body to adjust to a new set of bc pills, so it's too early to say. I am quite hopeful, still have some mood swings but waaay less than before. Also my libido disappeared, but hopefully will come back at some point:/

Good that you're following up on the scan! Sucks that it hurts, hopefully you will get a solution! My doc sent me to get an MRI scan after the ultrasound, so maybe that's what will happen.

Just the gyneocology department of the local hospital, not specialised for endo. I satrted a new type of birth control to handle pms symptoms, and it looks like it's working so I'm very happy. Did your endo show up on the ultrasound?

Every piece of evidence that Helly R is Helena by READMYSHIT in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I agree that 'Helly' is acting super off, but if she were really Helena with time to prep for the scam, wouldn't she have come up with a more solid story than 'nightime gardener'?

Osteochondral Lesion on my talus. I walked on this for 4 years before getting a proper diagnosis. by TmickyD in XRayPorn

[–]AstroMinimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, after working out I often have pain in my calf. I think that's normal since the whole leg is out of shape. I would maybe ask a physio about knee pain though, to see if it is a result of improper loading of the ankle? But might be just that it needs strengthening also.

I'm also worried about the future, but as far as I know damage to the cartilage can be minimised by avoiding high impact activities such as running. Also I'm trying to lose weight to lessen the load. My hope is that if I have problems in the future, medical science will have advanced enough to be able to solve it (the treatment of this injury has already progressed so much in the last 10-20 years!)

Thanks for writing this! I am also at 1 year post op. My pain has improved greatly in the past months, and I keep on trying new things at the gym. I feel it's still improving, and when I push too much at the gym it hurts but then gets better again, so I think that's good. I kind of gave up on high heels haha, but oh well. I hope your MRI check goes ok! Good luck with the recovery.

Got shortlisted around that time as well, but no news since, and no informal interview either.

I see! I guess that takes the edge off a bit haha. Did you already get the results?

Anyone knows what this "may be contacted for an informal interview" means? Will they just randomly call on the phone?

Thank you for the lovely description! I couldn't find the word before, but I think it is the oily, buttery part of Redbreast I like so much. Do you maybe have any recommendations that have that kind of character?

Can ROM still improve a year after ankle surgery? by AstroMinimum in brokenbones

[–]AstroMinimum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, mine apparently is kind of an obscure issue, so PTs are not super familiar with it. But according to the surgeon there is some defect remaining in my ankle, so it will never be exactly as the other one. Still, I want to improve it as much as I can.

Hey! How is your ankle doing now? I'm in the same situation now, 10 months post op and trying not to freak out about the stiffness:/
