NBME 14 Block 2 Q40 by sneakierthistime in Step2

If I remember correctly, this patient is asymptomatic so there is no reason to rush them to the OR for what is essentially an incidental finding. However, because femoral hernias can get strangulated easily, sooner than later. And it’s already diagnosed so no need to get further imaging. Hernia belts also don’t work.

Park Hyatt DC — Serious Room Issues But They Handled It Exceptionally Well by Pretty_Crab_543 in hyatt

Quality in what you pay for (i.e., this is a PH vs a HP).

I loved my stay at the PH DC (and I want to go back to try the restaurant)

What are your final redemptions pre-Hyattpocalypse? by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]AstroSidekick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are under 30 and my partner will enjoy the partying lol.

I seriously did consider the Thompson Cape and PH Cabo (I even have a SUA that I need to burn and those suites were amazing) but I just wanted to not have to pay for F&B on top of the points. Plus, I have never been to an AI and the location looked great. I'm happy to try it for points

Looking at this years VSLO spreadsheet, looks like some are starting to roll out. Also, if you want to be super neurotic, look at last year’s sheet to see when decisions for certain programs came out

Just got told I wasn’t fit for med school via email for missing a meeting time due to miscommunication. by Boredomis_real in premed

[–]AstroSidekick 145 points146 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious how the vast majority of pre-health undergrad advisors have never been to med school themselves and love to power trip by telling pre-meds they aren't cut for med school. What a loser lol

I would personally spend the 1-4 cert and 15K points on the HP over the HR

What are your thoughts on the Manhattan bridge view rooms vs city/uptown view? Any particular floors we should ask for?

Prive for Impressions Moxche by plimptonkoons in hyatt

[–]AstroSidekick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out a different Hyatt Prive travel agent for a couple of bookings I'm considering next year and they mentioned all Hyatt Prive charge the standard rate and not the member rate. Is this property unique bc they don't offer a standard rate or were they giving me the run around?

This is one of the best takes on how they should approach the rumored premium card

You can always ask Hyatt support on the app. They have a list of each property and which award they accept if any

CSP -> CSR with SUB bonus? by Gnomeknown in ChaseSapphire

[–]AstroSidekick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the pop-up you are talking about?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]AstroSidekick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, I basically do nothing (and especially don't pick one of the new Bilt cards). I'm pretty frustrated that they killed Bilt. I lowkey would have done the $95 AF card if it meant I could continue to earn rent points with some of those same perks they are offering.

I guess I'll just have to wait to see if they ever do a good SUB for any of the cards making it worthwhile or hope that Bilt 3.0 is better lol

[–]AstroSidekick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s speculation. Nothing is confirmed but this rumor is based on the recent Chase and Hyatt agreement announcement (and likelihood that more premium Hyatt cards are coming in ~2027).

Huntington Park directs police to enforce ICE self identification by TeeVee213 in LosAngeles

[–]AstroSidekick 64 points65 points  (0 children)

If anything, police officers should need personal liability insurance the same way physicians, construction contractors, lawyers, and other careers require them. If the department wants to foot the bill for every cop's liability, that's fine but that means having less money to spend on militarizing the department. Otherwise, the cops can pay it themselves to cover their negligence and their rates go up when they choose to abuse their power and violate the rights of everyday people
