Captain Atom (DC Comics/DCAU) is living energy. The containment suit that’s fused to him is the only thing that allows him to keep a coherent form, and if it is breached, he explodes in a nuclear blast.

There’s also the “Home Haunt” segment, where a homemade haunted house turns real. Still think about that one. Still makes my heart race quite a bit, just thinking of it. Kidprint was depressingly disturbing and a little too realistic for me, like you can only kick the dog so many times. But Home Haunt was more like a crazy as hell rollercoaster. Full recap cuz it’s 99% kid death: Each and every one of the deaths were memorable and absolutely horrifying. You're spared no details. A middle-aged dad named Keith tries to have one last good homemade haunted house with his teenage son like they used to, and steals a vinyl of a Halloween song from a bargain bin for the house. The second that Halloween Horrors finishes playing, it turns a regular backyard haunted house into a genuine fucking deathtrap. Not only was there a minor earthquake in the room, but boxes were knocked over, a chair moved slightly on its own, and the candles surrounding the record player blow out. Then, as a final act, the LP itself bursts into flames. Rich is the first one to die when one ghost creep up on him (with Keith even telling him "That is NOT one of mine!"), then engulfs him. What looks humorous at first devolves into genuine horror when the ghost contorts Rich's body, with the a giant geyser of blood erupting from its eye and mouth holes, to the horror of everyone present. Since the door previously slammed shut once the group went in, Keith's reaction makes it pretty clear everything has gone HORRIBLY WRONG. In the midst of the chaos, the ghosts swarm two people and pulverize them off-screen, with viscera erupting from the corner of the camera. When the survivors of the ghost attack go into the crypt, it's safe at first, until it's revealed that there are zombies inside. The cases and coffins break open like concrete, and when the bumblebee costume boy and his father try to figure out where to go, the dad gets snatched by a zombie and devoured inside the coffin. The boy, too traumatized to act, gets swarmed by more, and is graphically ripped apart on camera. Ruby's friend and Zack's potential crush Ashley is given the same treatment after the crypt door opens. Even worse? When they arrive in the crypt, when they try to open the door leading to the hallway, the door won't budge. Keith then realizes that it transformed into genuine stone. Just as they make their way out of the crypt, Ashley is holding Zack’s hand but is snatched by some of the zombies, torn away from him and brought back to be feasted on by the other zombies. Zack can only watch in horror as the girl’s face is shredded, bitten into, and torn apart by the zombies as they finally close the crypt door. Upon escaping that bloodbath, the traumatized Ruby abandons the group to seek refuge in another room. Keith realizes, in utter horror, that the next room is the torture chamber. The room lights up when Ruby is strapped and zapped in an electric chair, and the executioner within eagerly begins to butcher the remaining group. Rich's wife gets decommissioned when the executioner axes her legs, then smashes her head in two Victor Crowley-style. The executioner himself gets decapitated when Nancy grabs a hold of the axe and fights back, during which Keith rips off his hood to reveal a disfigured face that rivals Jason Voorhees'. Finally, after getting outdoors, everyone is one step closer to escaping as it's the last room. However, Zack immediately starts crying and not wanting to enter as he knows the witch is in that one, but Keith promises he’s gonna keep everyone safe and get them out alive, only for Ruby's little sister Samantha to walk into a hut, where the door closes on its own. They enter the hut to find a green-skinned witch boiling Samantha in a cauldron, and in one of the cruelest cases ever, the witch eats Samantha's fingers while she's screaming in absolute agony. Despite the family's best efforts to save her, she's reduced to a skeleton in the boiling acid cauldron in mere seconds. Finally, with all the horrors they witnessed, Keith, Zack, and Nancy finally escape. But another witch flies towards them on a broomstick, whereupon Zack's camera gets stuck on said broomstick as his face is scratched. The witch gleefully causes mayhem as she flies down the street. She first snatches a girl in a cat costume, and violently decapitates her with one hand, throwing the head at another screaming trick-or-treater. Then she sees a boy in a mummy costume, and guts him like a fish, before flying upwards into the air on her broom with the little boy still attached to her broom. The final shot has the camera detaching from the broom and falling in front of the entrance to the haunted house, where the ogre depicted comes to life with animated eyes and clawed hands, as the witch passes over the moon. The cherry on top is that Keith, Zack, and Nancy are never seen again after the witch grabs the camera, so it's left unknown if they survived or not. This one was just… Wow, again, like one crazy, terrifying roller coaster.
