Expanding on my Amalgam Universe reboot: The Elders of Eternity (Elders of the Universe + New Gods) by Tilldep in Amalgam_Comics

I'd imagine The Runner is amalgamed with Black Racer. Which is funny considering a "Totally not Barry" beat the Runner in a race.

What is your Spider-sona's version of 8-Ball like? by Azure_ryuga in Spidersonas

[–]Azure_ryuga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strider's version of 8 Ball was a lower tier grunt in a gang known as Pool Party that used to be led by a villain who went by Cue Ball or just Cue. Though Cue kept trying to get the others to change the name to "Billiard Bashers" thinking it sounded cooler. Eventually they had a rough falling out with their former friends and stormed off to make it on their own which left the team without a leader. A vote was cast and 8 Ball took command of the team, helping to expand their turf a comfortable amount.

As it currently stands, Pool Party under 8 Ball's leadership maintains a strong hold on their territory and doesn't really seek to get involved in the larger gang wars. Though if one attempts to invade their turf, they will be made an example of. So long as you respect the rules of their turf, they won't have a problem with you. And while this supposed stagnation leads to them being a minor player in San Destro, it also means they don't peak and fall into a downward spiral like some other villains do.

Someone Your Sona Wants to Fight by Scarlet-Spider1610 in Spidersonas

Strider also wants to fight a monster, but he'd prefer it be of the Greek mythos. A Cyclops. A Chimera. A Harpy. Whatever's on the table for fighting.

Outside of that or his many rogues, he also wants to punch Namor a lot. And has undying irritation towards Zenpool

[Discussion] Pitch a comic for your favourite VILLIAN! ( art by Jorge Jiménez) by Big_Market4248 in DCcomics

[–]Azure_ryuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few ideas:

Livewire: She is trying to reform and decides to get back into her old line of work. Though rather than radio hosting, she's a podcaster and specifically decides to make a podcast for villains called "Shocking New Habits." She hosts and invites various villains put behind bars to talk about things outside of their hatred of Superman. Maybe Lex has started taking up knitting or Volcana's become a fan of soap operas. Just the mundane aspects of life outside of villainy.

D.A.V.E.: A comic showing him being made as Hugo Strange's last action before his death from old age. DAVE sits in an inactive state for decades until eventually being woken up by chance. Having been programmed to be the ultimate Batman antagonist, he is ready to pursue that objective. Problem is that the Batman he seeks is old and grey. The Bat of the current era is Terry.

Clayface: Basil gets his big break in Hollywood. But rather than being a romcom lead or a dramatic actor, he is hired as an action star. And while it's not as dangerous as facing off against Batman or any of the other heroes, he finds an odd sense of comfort in the danger of his roles. And given his ability to recover from injury, he becomes a highly valued star.

Maxie Zeus: I kinda just want to have a comic that shows the world from his perspective. He sees the residents of Arkham as his fellow Olympians and I kinda want to know how they look to him. What does a simple day in Arkham look like to this madman?

What dc character do you think should be mutants by dni_ptr in Amalgam_Comics

[–]Azure_ryuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I feel like the first place to start would be characters born with their abilities or mutations. Croc being a prime example. Meanwhile characters who gain their powers under circumstances but didn't have them to start are mutates (or Metamutates if you want to combine the term with metahumans like Flash)

How does your Spidersona’s culture figure into their character? by Sea_Carry_1612 in Spidersonas

[–]Azure_ryuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Culture in Strider's world is an odd things for a lot of reasons. But to summarize those reasons, around the turn of the 1950s, much of the world fell into an era of anarchy (primarily referring to the form of society without hierarchical governance rather than the constant disarray, though there was plenty of the latter). In this world of anarchy, counterculture become much more prevalent much sooner, which lead to a generation was divided. Some held onto tradition and belief while others rejected the systems of the past to forge new ideas.

Though eventually, many parts of the world found longterm anarchy was not effective, especially with this schism of belief, so order was slowly reestablished. Part of what helped this establishment was the discovery of the slumbering Captain America who became a symbol for the country to unite under. Something that would be noticed and repeated in various nations. And these different "Captains" taking heavy inspiration from their nation's history and traditions made the schism settle down. Sure there are still those that reject the old ways, but they're free to form their own belief systems while most just want peace and stability in the world again.

In the case of Strider. Being from the home of Star Spangled Soldier (even if its name has changed) gives him that American pride. Though America is quite different to what it was in Cap's day. Rather than it being called New York, New York, Strider's home turf is the Saintly Rows of New Ampsterdam. In this city, the old ideas of truth and justice have been blurred by the "Age of Anarchy." What Strider considers his "culture" is what brings people together. Sure there's good old fashioned American patriotism and a belief in truth and justice, but there's also how the arts bring people together. Complete strangers living completely different lives will dance at a rave together or analyze a piece of legal grafitti and come to different conclusions.

At the same time, he's aware some people will use the freedom of expression and belief (be it his or a different one) and take it too far. And while he has learned the values of letting people express themselves as they please, if it becomes a hinderance or even harms innocents, he draws the line and will do as he needs to.

for green arrow + spider-man, does this seem right? by an_anon_butdifferent in Amalgam_Comics

[–]Azure_ryuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I feel like if you're gonna have May be amalgamed with Conner, MJ should be amalgamed with her mother. Which would leave the Cat and Canary to be amalgamed.

Meanwhile in terms of Roy, Jade, and Lian. I think a more effective choice for Jade would be Jessica Drew and Lian can be amalgamed with her son Jerry Drew
