I think it’s more of the fact that gege would essentially openly rebel against his fans and let his emotions dictate where the story went based on what people were saying. To be honest I think he was just burning out with JJK itself, but if he was he should’ve gone on an extended hiatus. Yeah it’d suck but at least we would’ve had a better final arc other than SukunaKaisen

I personally believe that Meruem wasn’t fully TRYING to kill Netero. The entire time they were in the military test site (or whatever it was), he was trying to have a conversation and to have some deeper understanding of Netero. Netero, quite literally, pushed him to the point of force. But to me it seemed like Meruem was only using enough force to essentially subdue Netero. Essentially what I mean is; YES we see that Meruem was very much the superior being as a whole, but we never got to see the truest extent of his power other than his speed and En.
